ya know, in my real life I have worked as a teacher in a couple of urban schools in upstate new york where most of the students are classified as "economically disadvantaged." During my tenure there I witnessed children who are the victims of multi-generational abject poverty. They start having babies at 14 or 15 yo and keep having them until they go to prison themselves or die, which ever comes first.

I do not see a problem with the questioning. Madonna has been an exhibitionist and stuffed her views down everyone's throats for 40 years. Be it her morals (or lack of), her politics, her religion- she wants to play ball she has to be able to handle the game and answer the questions. She wants to attack the meaning of life and religion. I find her disgustingly hypocritical. So if you can make Madonna squirm, good- for one second she did, and that is okay with me. Normally I would find this questioning highly inappropriate, but Madonna has attacked and offended everything publicly and without shame- so be it- she opened the door, not the reporter.

I love Madonna and have been a fan for many many years but I don't agree with abortion. I feel these two concepts can exist within me. I'm not a woman or have never been in that situation so I cannot judge her. I admire her artistry and talent. She is the one that has to live with her life decisions and she seems pretty ok with that, in fact she states no regrets, so who I am to judge. I think if people just concentrated on their own lives instead of focusing on judging or criticising other people then this world would be a better place. Find your own moral compass and follow that but don't inflict your beliefs on anyone else. Often people who criticise others are not happy with their own lives or the path they have chosen and in some respects begrudge their own moral compass placed upon them by society or their parents but aren't brave enough to change or too lazy to focus on themselves so they focus on other people. Its called Projection and is a psychological concept. Be happy with yourself and the life you lead or be brave enough to change not so weak you have to judge others.
