Visited this place today after this video but taste of food is not so good. Lamb (sheep) and farmed chicken ( valarpu naatu koli) are used which are cheaper alternative for original meat, but price is high. Highly unsatisfied.

When I visited Tamil Nadu for a 10-day food tour, I ate in almost famous restaurants from Chennai to Kanyakumari and I felt this was the best food ( for breakfast ) I had on that 10-day trip. Other restaurants were good but Ayappa samy Mess hotel was the best!! I highly recommend this place to everyone. I am sure there are many other places in TN that I have not tried yet but as of now, this place was good. It is a little bit expensive but worth the cost, my brother and my father and I ate for 3800 rupees ;)

@@chubbyboy1206 , each chops was like 80 rupees and I would have at least 7 or 8 mutton chops. So did my brother, then we all tried all the dishes. The hotel is pricey but really good taste. You should try it once. I will go back again when I visit India.

This morning, I went to Ayyappan Mess with my son for breakfast. My son ordered mutton chops, but I couldn't eat it, so I asked for dosa with just sambar and chutney. They insisted that they would serve dosa only if I ordered curry or chicken. I've eaten at many hotels, and this kind of rude behavior from the staff was quite disappointing. Additionally, the place was not clean, and the prices were high. For middle-class people, especially those who go there because of hunger, requiring them to order curry or chicken just to get breakfast is not common, even in big hotels.
