Fantastic review of the BETAFPV Gemini TX and receivers. And a great explanation of how D modes, Gemini work. I think I learnt something!

Been using BetaFpv tx's and rx's for 18months now....LOVE THEIR STUFF....never had any probs,....super reliable.🤗

Wow, Ian, what a fantastic description and visualization of what Gemini and the D modes are! Definitely going to become my reference description. You can even see the LoRa chirp stripes in the capture, which I've never seen before (at least for ELRS OTA). That module is a real sweet piece of engineering too.

Hey there, Guru! Bowing down to Your Mastery and your no-doubt Deep Knowledge on the subject, I'm wondering if You reckon the same module working on the 915 / 868 MHz frequencies could make sense for long-range use, or if You think the possible differences might be negligible. Thanks !

Really fantastic video, Ian! Thanks a bunch! 😃 Stay safe there with your family! 🖖😊 And happy holidays!

500Hz, 250Hz, 150Hz, 50Hz - This is normal mode, using LoRa modulation which has longer range and better resistance to RF interference F1000, F500 - This is F mode, or FLRC, it offers faster modulation and lower latency, but shorter range than the normal mode. My speculation is that in F mode power usage is significantly smaller because in fast mode (F) module spends less time actually transmitting RF signal. That comes with smaller range but faster response.

How many packets does it send when youre running D150hz and D50hz? If you dont have the betafpv gemini module yet. Its highly recommend! Its so good
@marcin844211 ай бұрын
@Ian is Worth to mention that power consumption will decrease in case of increasing of the telemetry ratio because TX less transmitting due to increased telemetry ratio.

What I want is 2.4ghz and 900mhz simultaneously so I can run F1000 on the 2.4 and whatever on the 900 but never ever failsafe.
@Chillin-fpv5 ай бұрын
Looks like that's going to be an option soon. Expresslrs 3.4 using gemini x. But no receivers exist as of yet.

How long will a Zorro last with the standard Radiomaster 900mAh batteries in Gemini mode - best and worst case scenario
@WinstonSmith198411 ай бұрын
That's amazing, but currently the video link is usually the bottleneck when it comes to long range.
@JohnCuppi11 ай бұрын
Gemini is a good solution for extremely noisy 2.4g RF environments - but still, practicality speaking, most will not need this. I would go for this if I was doing commercial flying a big event or something, or flying a craft with multiple $$$$ on board. That’s where any link failure whatsoever would be potentially high risk and Gemini with diversity rx would offer peace of mind.

SuperP 14CH Diversity Receiver has a range of what?
@JPspinFPV11 ай бұрын
Gemini is very cool tech. I only wish there were gyro receivers available with stability flight modes. This would make things very easy for those who want to fly wings without a full on flight controller like my dad.

Is it possible/usefull to use a diversity reciver for a longrange build even if I don't have a diversity transmitter? So incase I need to upgrade the controler one day

This won't do 915Mhz ? Just 2.4Ghz? I guess the Radio Master Nomad Genesis is the best thing going right now?
@MadRC2 күн бұрын
Correct this won't do dual band. The nomad is the first dual band module.
