When he said "amit" it means he ask for permission before touching your head. In Java culture, human head is something to respect. Also "amit" is a word when you walk across elderly or people you don't recognize. It means "excuse me" in general.

20:30 "glass" in Bahasa could either mean "Gelas" (a cup; could be plastic, doesn't have to be made from glass), "Kaca" (glass, the translucent, fragile material itself), or in Javanese we also have what we call "Beling" (shards of glass, which you tried to say). They got confused after reading the translated sentence because it showed "gelas"

2 guys on 20:38 actually they asked the question about "maksudnya gimana" it means "what does it means" maybe if the google translate wrote kaca instead of gelas, they would easily understand. because for the acts usually use every different kind of glass especially lamp glass. and we called them "kaca" in general and "gelas" is glass for drinking only. so they shaking their head means they dont understand. anyway I live in malang and if you have some question about javanese or bahasa indonesia, you can ask me hehe nice vlog btw 👍🏻

1:38 - He said "kecap" means soy sauce not 'ketchup' as in tomato sauce, as you see, the root of the word is the same which derived from the traditional chinese fish sauce or soy based condiment 'Koeh-Tchiap'. America started making ketchup from tomato in 1812. If you are uncertain to order something you could order by selecting (like you just did) or order by its portion "seporsi/satu porsi" (single portion). It is not like Japanese oden which have arranges of dishes that you select, Bakso is its own dish as a whole consisting of broth, meatball, noodles, vermicelli, green onion, leafy greens, fried shallots, and condiments. But you know what you like better than me hehe. I hope you enjoyed.

In javanese language, the equivalence of "sumimasen" is "kulo nuwun" (excuse me) or "pangapunten" (I am sorry). The U sounds like in 'boot', the A as in "Alf". We inherited the dutch pronounciatio's of vocal alphabets.

about circumcision it is related to belief, and for some people especially in the village they will hold a celebration and usually a few days before the day of circumcision, in some areas in Indonesia if they are going to celebrate whether it's a wedding, circumcision, they will see a certain month and date .So in a certain month celebrations can occur several times in their environment
