Low heart rate training (or Maffetone Training) is an excellent way to build your aerobic fitness so you're able to run longer, bike longer and get your endurance up. I've been doing MAF training for running for almost 2 years now and I've had some great benefits with it... but with all things good there are bad - there must be balance in the force. MAF training is no different. These downsides are now adding up and I need to make a choice: continue with pure MAF, or switch to something a little different. Here is my story.
