@@Boki199611 we need a remake of both games. Lost Heaven should be renamed and be more like Chicago adding some more 20s and 30s vehicles, cloths, new locations 3 or 4 new missions. Mafia 2 should get all cut content even the small things + new content like a countryside, boats ... Also rename Empire Bay to New Amsterdam or something like that.

@@allenbrown7572 Especially the ending of Mafia I, where Tommy and his family is put into witness protection after snitching to the cops is the exact same as the ending of Goodfellas and Henry's life, the only major difference is Tommy was murdered 2 decades later while Henry lived (although he later died of natural causes)

Something I always noticed was that when I played the PC version and did missions with Sam , in his picture in the bottom left where the health was, his hair was blonde just like in the BETA. Could just be my version of the game though

i just clicked myself through the audio files, there were a few files never even been used in the final game. like a little girl that said " mommy told me to never let strangers in" ( like tommy knocked on a door or something) or sarah saying " come in, im cooking" or a few other "partners" besides sam and paulie, they said stuff like " tom i need help" "tom get over here" "tom im in trouble" and when they died they said stuff like " on me, i never heard anything" i even read about how in the alpha/beta version you could visit sarah in her home, there were a mission where salieris bar got shot up and couple guys were dead, there were other nice missions. check out beta footage in the internet and you will see what i mean. it feels so weird to imagine mafia 1 in the alpha or beta version. i grew up with this game since im 3 years old, now im 18 i grew up with this game and to think how the game once was it feels so weird idk. i would pay lots of money to get the alpha/beta version. it would be a dream. i wonder if they still exist in old archives from illusion softworks

Actually " mommy told me to never let strangers in" line used in game. You can hear it in mission when Tommy find out that Poly is dead. And while cops going upstairs - you can go other doors (if I remember correctly - at upper floor than Poly lived).

Mafia 2 no Subways, no brothels to control,dont own properties to make income. No bikes, It would had been great if any of those were included. Other than that great game. Mafia 1 was more detailed in parts and felt like a real Mafia game.

I didn't know a lot of the things showcased here and I found this video very interesting. It's probably normal that many ideas were cut for a game as ambitious as Mafia. It's pretty crazy to imagine Tommy driving a tank as well as having deathmatches, though.

Well the story was amazing so were the characters i don't even feel that mafia has some cut contents in mafia because all of mafia was amazing. But for mafia 2 was different with that game too many extra things or unique interactions were cut and that was a shame indeed. But anyway good video it's always a pleasure to see some beta and unused content :).

Bulldozers were likely to be used in a italian job style mission like the opening of the movie. The big foots were most likely from multiplayer. And looks like some of the devs added their own rides in for testing/fun

I translated the full game text into Dutch for fun and discovered a lot of lines that were cut from existing conversations, conversations that npc's have and you only hear slight bits of in the missions and entire conversations that are not in the game. Very interesting

Small correction, the starts and stripes bigfoot was present in the ps2 version as a reward for completing the racing tournament, so it was theoretically cut only in the pc version :)

Smart Contact you are correct, they are different, more complex however due to performance problems they had to cut them, this is also because originally all the cars were real cars, which had to be changed, I assume because of budget

Mafia 1 and 2 weren't rushed in fact they had plenty of time, mafia 1 had some cut content due to it not having a reason to really be in the game, however all the cut content of mafia 2 is because the dev's were constantly transitioning into different publishers, the original release was around 2004/5 however by the time they got anywhere close to being done, the ps3 era came out and they had to update the whole thing, it's a long story and maybe I will cover it one day on this channel.

Not Max When Daniel Vavra (lead developer of Mafia 1 and 2) has settled with 2K Games (who bought Illusion Softworks and renamed it to 2K Czech), he didn't want to rush the game and je also didn't want to cut content. The story of Mafia 2 was like 8 chapters longer and much more content was supposed to be included. However 2K Games were pretty demanding and they've been urging Daniel to cut the unfinished content and release the game as it is. That was the moment when Daniel Vavra, the man behind the Mafia Game series left the development process. Prior to its release, Mafia 2 had different story with 4 various endings. So say "thank you" 2K for rushing the development process.

Even if those vehicles don't fit in mafia time period you can find some vehicles inlcuded in mafia that are futuristic cars, like that blue light lassiter or the giant monster truck or the missile vehicle i mean who want to drive a missile vehicle? XD.
