I finished the game and I would like to explain something for the real fans about Henry. SPOILERS AHEAD! So we don't really know, that Henry was a snitch or not. The main thing the everyone says, that at the Buzzsaw mission, when Vito ask about his English, he does not answer. Another thing is that after his death everyone talks about the thing, that he was undercover, though no one anything more than that. I think Henry was not a snitch, and here is why. The Bio of Henry says that his sole motivation was pride. Every scene he shows pride, he was a role model of gangsters. I think that nobody had had hard time explaining itself in English in the whole game (even Vito's family speaks perfectly) so asking Henry about his English was not really on point. Besides, if the police choose a cop to go undercover, they choose an Italian guy, so he could tell the truth about English, even he was later joined with the cops. So that hint was not a big one. At the end, when Vito meets Carlo, he is surprised a bit. He didn't know, that Vito was sent there to kill him, so I think they hint that that in this life, everybody use you for their own purposes just like maybe Eddie and Galante. One more thing. I think the most suspicious thing about Henry that he didn't kill Galante. I think it was a storywriting failure, not a hint that Henry was actually a cop, who doesn't want to kill. He wanted to kill the fat man at Buzzsaw. I think Galante not being dead was just as ridiculous as Joe in Mafia 3. It just broke the concept of Mafia 2. I hope you liked this short review on Henry and give a second thought of this whole Henry was a rat thing. I think we should read between the lines and shouldn't be stupid.

A news report after Henry's death mentioned that he came to America from Sicily as a boy. Since Mussolini came into power in 1922, this means Henry was actually telling the truth when he told Vito that his father sent him to America to keep him from being drafted. I think Vito simply misunderstood, and Henry didn't get a chance to clarify because Porky showed up. The thing about Henry being a rat is just one example of how the story in the version of Mafia 2 that we got is a convoluted mess. The game was originally supposed to have three or four possible endings, which would play out in different timelines depending on the choices the player made throughout the game. This could be why a handful of random missions have multiple outcomes, even though it really doesn't mean anything. I'm thinking the ending we got where Henry dies and is revealed to be a rat was probably the "bad ending" because of how dark it is. The thing is, Henry saved Joe's life, as seen in the Joe's Adventures DLC. If he was a rat, why would he care about Joe? Leo's age was retconned by Hanger 13, presumably so they could include him in Mafia 3, and maybe even Mafia 4. He's 81 in Mafia 3, which would mean he was 58 when he first met Vito in prison.
