Sun Wukong Mafia 2 Masterpiece?? GTFOH...and im a HUGE fan of the Mafia series ... Mafia 1 is the masterpiece Mafia 2 - was a good game but it was chopped up ..(No side missions, couldnt shoot out of the cars, No Melee weapons, 10-hour story with nothing left to do after the game,added dlc that was timed missions) however it was still a good game not a masterpiece Mafia 3 : is fun IMO despite the bugs.. i think the devs tried to do too much in the game its like (Mafia,Godfather,Gta and Scarface mixed all up in 1 game)...they shouldve just kept the original Mafia 1 formula just added to it.. Mafia was known for the story the feel..they took certain things out that made the series great...M3 isnt bad tho im looking forward to the DLCs, (customization, races,graphical and in-game upgrades,) it couldve been better

Consoles can hardly process it, especially with a higher model resolution with the smallest details that they could cram in the game. that's why a lot of modern open world are more HUD/UI dependant than in-game functioning model..

ALSO, why does Lincoln knock out or knock down everyone he punches with one punch? You'd expect more people to fight back because...y'know...black man in the 60's attacking everyone? Whenever Vito got into a fist fight, his opponent would always put up a fight because they were both equal to some extent, they made Lincoln out to be some OP tough ass nigga that can't be beaten, that and he towers over literally everyone in the game, you feel like you're playing as some superhero rather than a normal human being who got mixed up in the underworld of crime. They tried forcing Lincoln with the most cliche shit they could think of and they failed hard. Some more small details: in mafia 2, when you refill gas in your car, the car ACTUALLY RISES as to show it filled us. Like the car itself moves and becomes higher. It's insanely detailed! Also, when you drive through sand, the car becomes sandy! And the snow flies off when you're driving. The details in mafia 2 are just incredibly well done.

I remember when I was younger and finished Mafia 2 I was so excited and couldn't wait until Mafia 3 was released. I must've replayed the game at least 10 times haha. It Is What It Is Same here, the first 2 games were my favorites, and I was totally hyped for the third game, then one day, I saw a headline in my favorite gaming magazine "Mafia III annouced". I was like "fuck yeah, finally!", ran to the computer, found a launch trailer, and some early gameplay video and saw the game, i thought to myself " no, this can't be Mafia. It Is What It Is I platinumed Mafia 2 and currently working on 3. Mafia 2 is def better but Mafia 3 IS enjoyable. Car collisions and mirror reflections are the worst part. The open worldness of Mafia 3 is far superior to M2. Also, had Mafia 3 not made you do the same thing 16 times (Informants, racket bosses required to progress 16 times) it would be incredible. Also it needs clothing vendors. Other than that; visually it's superior to GTA V. Not physically but visually. Much like Mafia 2, M3 emerses you in a different time period very well. Without the repetitive progress requirements on a single player game, this could have been just as good as M2.

my experience is with the PS4 Pro Enhanced version. Graphically stunning. Runs incredibly for all it must process at one time. It is, they just forgot that is what people want in a MAFIA game. Lincoln is the head of the Black Mob after his adopted father and the former leader was killed by the Sal Marcano Don of the Marcano family who is tied to The Commission from Empire Bay. Lincoln takes over most of the city with his lieutenants Cassandra leader of the Haitian Mob, Berke leader of the Irish Mob, and Vito Scaletta the one we actually are about. Instead of focusing on the dynamic between Lincoln and Vito it mostly focuses on Lincoln and his interaction with everyone else which wouldn't necessarily be a bad thing if they allowed more interaction with your lieutenants and Vito specifically. Also if instead of multiple ending that is all bad except for two they just fully developed those two, Vito takes over Family and Lincoln leaves or Lincoln takes over. At the end of the game, Lincoln Family officially joins The Commission and Leo Galante makes the deal, this would be fine if there was much more set up as it stands it's just too convenient. Overall the story is a mafia story and is actually pretty good but it doesn't really develop until much further in. Also having only two mafia-style outfits I find to be rather disappointing and the advertisement for the makes it look way too much like a pure revenge story than a mafia war, though the gameplay also doesn't really help there. And finally the developers stated that we would learn what happened to Joe, but that's not entirely true, there is a collection of missions where you help Vito find out what happened to Joe by killing targets linked to his disappearance however at the end it pretty much tells us he could be dead or he could be in hiding When you meet Leo at the end of the game someone who looks like he could be an older Joe appears, but since his name isn't stated and we have no official information about him we don't actually know.

Devs will do more on gameplay and miscellaneous features like we can see with Mafia 2 faucets, repairing etc. Today, not many dev team have much freedom. Development of games is pushed by publisher, who wants their product sell quick and ready to be released as soon as they can. Publisher can be very cruel to the poor developer, like threatening to cancel their contract etc. Also today what everyone raging about is realistic graphics, pushing the gameplay and detailed miscellaneous feature to second priority.

Albomoney, I bought it and liked it. I won't argue about if it is best than Mafia II or not cause I haven't played it, I've only seen gameplays, but it is a good game, very good BSO, ambiental and from the radio, good driving (but weird), good graphics, the cutscenes are very very good, stealth is easy but satisfying, a shooting from the car mechanics much better than GTA's, I also like the story, the map... I'm no fanboy of Mafia III, I assure you, and while I've also found some stuff that I don't like, I'm just saying the good things. I think it's overly fun to play it and is worth the money.

Back the heck up fan boy. Mafia 2 came out in 2010 and GTA IV came in 2008. Let me remind you that GTA V came out years later with more to do. But Mafia 2 will still to this day be the most fun, innovative gta killers of its time. In my opinion though mafia 2 is a better game because while in GTA you steal cars, rob banks and become a criminal, Mafia is a piece of history where people would serve there country, get f'd over by the government after the war and become powerful mobs. They only had a few of the people from Czech work on this game most of them did not want to move to America when the studio got moved go on Wikipedia look up mafia 2 look at the producer the designers writers the artists etc none of them worked on mafia 3. Only a few developers fro Czech worked on mafia 3 and all they did was help create what director of mafia 3 Haden Blackman told them too do. It's probably a 90% american team creation Mafia 2 was the other way around

The first game in my life that really immersed me into the experience and my love of story driven Single player games. The story of Vito was amazing and I really felt like I was Vito living as a mobster. Everything felt believable and real to me even now. And the soundtrack was mindblowing and set the tone. Like fck I wanted Mafia 3 to be good. A shame some things are best left untouched. Will pretend Mafia 3 isnt a thing. Ps. Only good thing about 3 is seeing Vito alive and maybe Joe(unconfirmed) but Joe was a bro and tore me up when they hinted he died at the end of 2.
