Just finished "Murder Machine". If DeMeo wasn't bad enough, he also somehow managed to find an entire crew of potential serial killers and groom them to his likeness. His behaviour (not just the murders, but the other horrific "businesses" he was engaged in) sickened other mobsters. But, being the morally vacant people they are, they changed the rule of "you can't do that" to "you can't tell me you're doing that", as long as he kept making money for them. Doesn't speak well for the mob that his underlings (the one's that lived anyway) were given spots in other crime families after Roy was disposed of.

Anthony Senter had an apartment on 87th also. I am still friends with Anthony Senters sister Maryjane and some of the Testa family. Patty Testa got killed back in 1992 at his shop on Foster Avenue around the block from me, by Anthony Gaspipes people. Anthony Senters uncle Robert owned the Canarsie recycling company. He had trucks pick up the dumpsters and they ended up at the dump on the Belt Pkwy. You have to apply Psychology in order to begin to understand the theory of why or how these men participated in this type of behaviours..there is no correct way in which to condemn their actions..complex childhood, life traumas an many means of poor choices, bad decisions an wrongful socialisation of a person can all be strong factors as to why a person is drawn to or lead into a pathway of such barbarism..or the ability to act so heinously. These factors, are what outlines the differences between people who can engage in committing horrific acts of violence an those that cant. Understanding the Psychology of human behaviours is the start of understanding. It's the only way. The studies on personality disorders explains many levels of human depravity. I believe, through much reading of research, that we are all born with a blank slate..it is only what others, I.e.our care givers, from when we are born an there after, write upon our slates that decifers how we treat others also the paths we endeavour to go down in our lives.. It's in no way making excuses for a violent man..just a logical idea in how to understand how an why these men in particular are able to do what they do..

There's an amateur short film on Demeos crew on here, I believe it's titled 'Gemini Method' and he's a key figure played by Ray Liota in 'The Iceman' film based on Richard Kuklinski. There are scenes in the Gemini Lounge but no details of the murders, his role is that of a Gambino Capo who employs Kuklinski to carry out unsanctioned hits outside the umbrella of the commission. As far as 'Serial killer gangs' there are quite a few actually and the Shankhill Butchers rank high on the list of most depraved and sadistic. The Chicago Ripper Crew, a gang of 4 serial killers (satanists/ Cannibals/ Necrophiles/ rapists) who's vicious reign of terror in 81'-82' ended the lives of 18 women and destroyed many others who were kidnapped, tortured, raped, cut up and left at deaths doorstep always missing left breast. The leader, Robin Gecht worked for notorious killer clown John Wayne Gacy, small world. I'll list the rest off a typed enough in 1 comment...The beasts of Satan(Italy) Murder Inc(US Cosa Nostra) Briley bros(Richmond,Va) Black Muslim Mafia(Philly) The Son of Sam Cult, ect....

I grew up on Troy Ave. not far from the Gemini Lounge, and I remember when DeMeo took over the bar and renamed it The Gemini Lounge. I remember that shortly after he took it over in 1966, there were already lots of rumors of what was going on inside, and someone had taken a knife and carved on the front door "House of Ill Repute". Knowing what I learned later, I wonder if whoever carved it made it out alive
