@@davidleonard7439 you got a hard on for mafia,..... King was one of the few black men in power in the business world. That tells me he knew the "game" and how to survive. King was also a convicted murderer. He was no punk. He might have not challenged Gotti but he certainly had enough goons to make potential enemies think twice about getting after him and that includes Gotti. Contrary to what you think, gangsters want avoid big problems and lay low. Don King held his own.

Bumpy Johnson was a powerful AND connected black man, who learned his family structure from Joe Gallo, a mob boss who used to operate in Harlem. People feared AND respected him- thats power. Don King is a fucking sleeze ball, who was exploiting and robbing his OWN culture and people. This is not what a person in a position of "power" does.

Check out the wide shot. I'm not a photographer, but I can appreciate a good frame. At about 1m6s into the interview, the lighting and framing. Pat put a lot of work on the production of this video, I think honoring the stature of the interviewee. Great production.
