MAG CHUCK CONTROLLER, AMAZING FEATURE!

I purchased a mag chuck controller to control the mag chuck on my Blohm Simplex 7 surface grinder. The grinder is supposed to have mag chuck control, but for the life of me I can't find where I can hook it up.

Would a degaussing tool remove the residual magnetism as well? I'm not sure I understand the mechanism with the blip of AC power. What principle is that demonstrating?

If you want to magnetize something put it in a DC coil. If you want to demagnetize it put it in an AC coil. When you turn on the unit to demagnetize, it gives the chuck short pulses of AC current. This removes any residual magnetism that was left in you part after being in a DC field. A degaussing tool might work. Give it a try and let us know how it worked!
