As mentioned, I bought the first set mostly out of curiosity. I 'm continually finding new ways to use these. Probably won't be doing anymore single videos on the magnets, but from time to time you'll see me using them in upcoming videos. Thanks for viewing. George

Thank you George. I have been fighting with wedge magenets for years, have seen these at a friends machine shop but his were cost prohibitive, the ones you are showing are much more affordable.

I think you'll like them. Be sure to shop around. Of the three set I have, each set has been ordered from a different place. In your line of work, you'll appreciate their web site. These people are really into magnets. magswitch.com/

Did you ever consider buying a pair of the 1000 lb models or have you found your collection sufficiently powerful for your needs?

I also use them to hold my vise to my drill press table. My table does not have holes and C clamps have to be adjusted. I just use two 400s and turn them on and my vise doesn't move drilling holes.

Thanks for commenting. I too keep finding more ways to use them. George

Yes, the magnets look very useful and more George tips and methods would be great. How strong are they ?

The magnets are listed at 165, 400 and 600. The numbers are listed as "pull". I really don't know what that means. I'm sure that the 165 is NOT going to pick up 165 pounds. Thanks for the question, in the next video I will give a visual of trying to move each of the magnets by hand.

Those look useful. I see them in the catalogs frequently. Have you tried using one as a length stop on the shear? I am wonder if one would hold well enough for repeatable parts.

I haven't used them for exactly that. I bought the first small set and they work well for lighter work. But quickly saw that I needed something stronger. Check out the magswitch.com web site. They have magnets for almost anything that you could imagine.

Thanks for the "clever:. I don't feel very clever. I just keep trying new ways until I find something that works.
