What a great tutorial. I teach paper art and it's amazing how many people don't see the options when harvesting. You are an influencer and this was so detailed that I'm sure it helped lots of artists.

Yes! This definitely helps me to see how you came about the cool images. Please don’t be a stranger to this type of video. I would even revisit this video at a later date when I need help “seeing” what’s there if I have trouble seeing it on my own. Thank you!

Great video. Although I pretty much do what you do, I picked up a tip or 2, and remembered a couple I had forgotten. I haven't picked up a Cosmo magazine in at least 40 years. Although I would have said it's not my type of magazine, I loved the artistry of many of the images and the phrases that were a little more current than what I find in Better Homes and Gardens. My suggestion to your followers, is that when you come across free or low cost magazines, forget what you would normally read, and take a look at the images and colors.

Agree completely with the "explore outside your norm" ABSOLUTELY. Otherwise everything looks like everything else and other people's stuff looks cooler than ours (well, they're getting stuff from different places). Stands to reason. I've found that with YT videos too, a few of my very favorite creators are completely NOT "my style" but I've learned SO much from them and their work...

This was an awesome tutorial! Boy, I'm gonna go through what I've already gutted and reassess! I think there's gonna be some weeding out and definitely some cutting down! I really appreciated how you turned some pieces into just pops of color or filler or abstract things. Awesome. Actually seeing you doing this process made the difference. Thank you so much! Have a great weekend!❤

Your process for picking out images, colors, words etc. are awesome❣️ I’m wondering if you grew up without a lot, cause I think that makes people make do alot with a little, also they are more creative ❣️Also you seem to make alot out of anything you can find even sometimes even delve into other things that strike you as something you would like to learn and then find a way to do it❣️Just an observation from my own childhood. Love you and your joy for every minute.

The type of magazine really matters too. I have a stash of Vogue, Flower, and Victoria and the images are very different. I’ve actually been looking into buying a lot of Cosmo magazines on eBay and such because they do have more colorful and fun imagery/words. Really love your videos! I’ve been binging them all day and fussy cutting/harvesting magazine ephemera!

What a great, informative video. Just as I was thinking of adding a comment asking you to show us more examples, you brought out your book and showed us. I’ve been tending to cut out entire images, including tiny leaves, feet, etc. I’m going to change to the way you cut smaller chunks of interesting images! Thank you ! Barb in Cal
