I love this technique and can’t wait to try it! You could put a layer of gel medium on the gelli plate and then put your print down to seal it without smearing. Thanks for sharing! 😍

That is a great idea. Thanks so much.

I am excited to try this technique- I have done transfers using gel medium- allowing it to dry and then using water to remove the paper, leaving the ink...I do not have a gel plate, but this is the best reason I have found to make me wanna buy one!!!

I agree. It's a great reason. 🙂

Oh thank you. I was so lucky to find Trina's video. It just came up on my suggested videos to watch. I'm not sure I would have seen it otherwise. Thank you for subscribing

I am excited to try this technique. I tend to like lighter backgrounds so my foreground is the focus. Thanks for showing this.

Me too. Sometimes the softer lighter look is perfect for a background. Thank you for commenting. Have fun.

VERY interesting technique. And you are right... it has many applications, especially for journal book pages because it is light enough to become journaling spots... you could write right over the top of it. And I think it would make a fabulous stubstrate for collages, too. I LIKE IT! (: Thank you!

Will this work with non glossy images? Thanks for the video its a nice technique
@LeAndraKayArt3 ай бұрын
That is a great question. I have had some luck with transferring non glossy scrapbooking paper, so perhaps. I know that if you do use non glossy paper, very high contrast helps a lot. I hope this helps some.

Will this technique work on Rice/mulberry paper? Can these prints be decoupaged?
@LeAndraKayArt2 ай бұрын
Yes, they will work on rice paper. For decoupage you will want to roll out some gel medium on your plate and lift the gel medium with your print to seal them because these inks will smear without being sealed.

Will this work with pictures?

Hi Karen. Are you referring to photographs?

@@karinboschaart276 To be honest, I have never tried this technique with photographs. Generally, photographs do not work for image transfers though. If you can scan your photograph and print with a laser printer, then it should work depending on the contrast of the photo. High contrast works best. I hope this help you out some. Let me know if you have any further questions. I'm always happy to help.
