MAGE: MASTER OF FROST, FIRE, AND THE ARCANE.
Mage has always been a great class since vanilla and it doesn’t change in wrath. Mages have new powerful spells to add to their spell book for each of their 3 schools of magic.
They bring powerful utility to any group, raid, or PvP encounter. Reliable CC, incredible burst, and hey who doesn’t want buffs and food? Mages are a welcome sight to any group.
Mages have command over three talent specializations: Arcane, which is the glass cannon specialization mainly for PvE - dealing high damage at the cost of high mana requirements.
Fire, which received many new talents making it one of the strongest PvE specializations in end-game wrath, and Frost - the go-to PvP specialization which focuses on slowing, snaring, and CCing opponents with ice and dealing incredible amounts of burst with shattering ice combos.

What i really loved about mage when i played it in retail wrath was that you could pretty much go into pvp in whatever spec and do really really well. Bigdick arcane blast crits is what i remember from back then and oh boy it was glorious *and it will be again!*

Wotlk has some amazing game improvements! All 3 mage specs offer an amazing different play style! Frost was pretty OP in PVP due to deep freeze stun! I can't wait to see what kind of gameplay people come up with in all 3 specs!

I stopped play wow just before cataclysm and playing the mage always felt like i was on easy mode in PVE and PVP. Only the Rogue could stop me.

Frost mage in 3.2 and 3.3 was a monster in pvp, specialy in battleground, with ICC/s8 tiers i felt so good to kill peaple under deepfreeze!

Bullshit! Barrage is fine for questing and Trash Packs in Dungeons. So it's just not true that it's never useable.

Usually, i really like your guides... But there are some things that just doesnt add up for me. Calling the Arcane Mage a "Glass Canon" while it has more defensive utility than Fire Saying Arcane Barage is a powerfull new Ability that makes arcane mages do tons of tons of dmg....while skilling it is a dps lose and thats why you never take it? Arcane Mages do tons of dmg...but not because of Arcane Barage. Tbf, i do play wotlk on a P-Server, so might just be that

@@tarisco614 I do not see a single number i am referencing to. For defensive utility you can look up their spell book. For the skilltree/rotation you can watch older guides etc. So yes sure, the numbers on my Server COULD be wrong, but even so it was the same on live as far as i can tell.

Classic was completely cleared IMMEDIATELY because the private server numbers were basically a guess and way off. You can't reference how you feel in private servers to disagree with real servers.

@@tarisco614 Idk wich server u have played on, but mine was pretty accurate besides that, nothing you said invalidaes anything i said. Its a fact u dont take arcane barrage. Simple as that. There is no point whatsoever in taking it unless you do it so you can use it while moving/fluff. And numbers are irrelevant to the fact that we know the spellbook and talents, so we do know arcane is only worse than frost in terms of defensive utility
