A shooting star fell down to earth Lightning cracked the sky Something weird is happening Something I can't deny A strange kind of magic Running through my brain Feel I'm in heaven Or going insane 'Cause everytime we touch I get this feeling And everytime we kiss I swear I could fly Can't you feel my heart beat fast I want this to last Need you by my side 'Cause everytime we touch I feel this static And everytime we kiss I reach for the sky Can't you hear my heart beat so I can't let you go Want you in my life The wind was like a hurricane Storm clouds filled the sky I heard a crash of thunder The earth shook in reply A strange kind of magic Running through my brain Feel like I'm in heaven Or going insane 'Cause everytime we touch I get this feeling And everytime we kiss I swear I could fly Can't you hear my heart beat fast I want this to last Need you by my side 'Cause everytime we touch I feel this static And everytime we kiss I reach for the sky Can't you hear my heart beat so I can't let you go Want you in my life

Still a wonderful song to listen to in repeat. How I miss listening to the radio late at night waiting for songs like this to play so that I could record them on a cassette and then have my quality playlist. There was something magic that got lost on the way. Very much time went into the studio and laying down the different tracks with effects, then compressing the output to even levels. The vocal effects are great. Several voices of her singing mixed together. With a heavy reverb

@@jmp01a24 absolutely. Great times, so many ways. I started music studies in the classical field in mid 80s, piano as the nr. 1 instrument, later influences in other genres as well. It was the ideal time, music really started to die in my opinion sometime in the late 90s and this millennium is hopeless. Craftsmanship was there 30 years ago, creativity and soul too.
@jmp01a242 жыл бұрын
@@jussiuutaniemi3767 Very little original have been made since as you say the late 90s. There was a golden period from 2000-2010 for electronic music, but that too has just gone back to doing the same old thing, only with a simpler output, we have heard it all before, its just variations of the old classics. With very few exceptions. You still play?

Not only is Maggie O' Reilly incredibly beautiful, but she has a voice that you just want to listen to forevermore. She's an incredibly talented artist & has never made, produced, or sung anything other that is just on point. But, as much as I absolutely adore this song (one of my faves), the video is a touch creepy. But it's very atmospheric too & I guess that's why one is drawn into & immersed into it.

Maggie Reilly (born 15 September 1956 in Glasgow[1]) is a Scottish singer of Irish descent best known for her collaborations with the composer and instrumentalist Mike Oldfield. Most notably, she performed lead vocals on the Oldfield songs "Family Man", "Moonlight Shadow", "To France" and "Foreign Affair", all of which were international hits in the early 1980s.
