I do not understand why people hated the male singer. He did a great job as a juxtaposition to her clean vocals.
@Sunny-jz3dy Жыл бұрын
I agree! I have never understood that! I absolutely love the contrast between her voice and his! I thought it really brought something to the song. I guess Amy wanted to do it different but the studio thought they should have that contracting voice. so maybe because she kind of hated on it ....everybody jumped on the band wagon.

Well she dumped everyone from the original band and was never heard from again. She absolutely hated sharing the stage. That information is from people who knew the band well at their beginnings.

I don't think people hated the male singer as much as the fact that the music label forced the male vocal part on Evanescence and they didn't want it. He was never supposed to be there. The guy actually does a good job and I've always loved the song, but I can definitely understand the band being pi$$ed about him being forced on them.

I love the recitative-like feel of the vocal lines coming out of the bridge - propelling the story forward quickly to get back to the chorus. Read through the spoken sung and spoken lyrics through that bridge and see how it changes the meaning of the chorus through the last time - chilling. You will notice she pulled away, he didn't let her go.

the rap thingy was forced by the producers at the time cause they believed a rock song with a woman voice wouldn't sell in a superhero movie (daredevil, 2003), so she had to accept something she didn't wanted and thankfully never used again after. the song is waaay better without that thing.

Amy Strongly did not want a male vocalist, the label basically forced it on them. They wanted a permanent male voice and she said no. The label pulled their funding, then several months later came back with an offer to just have a male on this one track. She relented, and according to Amy in her 2021 interview that Paul McCoy was "very sweet" and she "Loved him" So all that talk of not liking Him isn't right, she didn't like that they forced a male vocalist on her, be it anyone.

Anastacia is one of the best selling artists in the world OUTSIDE of the US. That alone should warrant her a reaction video, either for Everything Burns, One Day In Your Life(her sole radio "hit" in America), You'll Never Be Alone or any of her other releases.
