Congratulations on 10,000! Don't change how you present your videos. I think a lot of us are here because of your calm demeanor. I enjoy your humor and your topics.

One of the reasons why people love you is because you are real, and you are genuine. You don’t spruik items like “influencers” do. When I see some videos like “my top 20 things I never leave home without” most of the stuff is rubbish and I don’t believe they travel with these things (but happy to get the commission). You show items that are practical and are useful! Finally, we just love YOU!! Best wishes to you and Emerson for 2024!

Congratulations your husband's health and the 10K! Waving hi from Canada! PS -- keep one channel and grow that rather than trying to grow two channels!

Congratulations! I’m drawn to your channel because of your authenticity and calm demeanor. I also appreciate that you are not a sell out creator. Stay true to yourself and your community will continue to grow. Finally, I’m happy to hear your hubby is progressing well. Having gone through the continuous testing when my husband had two separate cancer diagnosis in the same year, I understand the worry. Fortunately, he’s at a point where the intervals are less and we can more easily travel.

Your accent adds to your videos. You give a great perspective and letting us know how you live every day life (compared to life in the US). And I’m a bag person, and its nice to see what works for your minimalism with travel.

Congrats on your milestone 🎉. Keep up the good work🙂. I really enjoy your honest, straightforward style. It is refreshing compared to channels that are just trying to sell to keep sponsors happy. Unfortunately I am not able to travel right now (also have husband health issues) but still love watching and dreaming of getting back to it some day.

Two days late! Goodness... my feed needs to get with the program and put your videos at the TOP!! Yay for staying positive. I have to say, I really admired how you handled things. When my dad was in a car accident with a brain injury, my mom and I took turns kind of crying on each other. Later, we thought it was weird, but one of us was strong and one kind of could let go and that we cycle thru that was sort of funny to us?? Dark humor, but it made us laugh in a hard time. That was years ago, and things are much better. Time helps all things! And so funny re your fears, because I think it is awesome that you dive in. I totally get it. I have issues with my English now, but my Norwegian is not perfect either 😂🤔😳haha! And I love that you are just yourself and that you laugh at yourself a bit... I actually prefer that to someone who is too polished? You are genuine and the too polished feel almost a bit fake? re sponsors.... I think if you are genuine, that would be fine? AND ANOTHER CHANNEL? YAAAAY!!! Everett and you together, awesome!!!! 🎊🎊 Totally vote for that! Ok.... enough of this long comment, just going to listen and enjoy... altho... I miiiight want to make another comment 🤔🤔🤔😂😂😂❤ Best, Lynne

Good morning Maggi, Happy New Year! I do enjoy your calm, practical and logical presentations--the honesty comes through as well. And yes, I agree, many KZbinrs/influencers do seem to be over enthusiastic once they have sponsors and I cannot trust their reviews of a product. My best to you and your husband.

Patagonia is very easy to travel around! My husband and I are coming to the end of our Americas trip and Argentina was our favourite. The mountains are so close in Patagonia compared to the rest of the Andes.

Wishing you a fantastic year with lots of travel too!! 🎊 And congratulations on so many followers! I think for a lot of us, who travel some of the time and like to travel minimally, your videos inspire for the packing... but it is also very interesting to learn how you manage to do all of this too. If we did not have a family farm, I think we would make different choices. But it is what it is! ❤

Love to hear about some travel tips for Austria. We are planning a trip to Innsbruck, Salzburg ( Prague, Berlin and Munich) in the Fall and it would be great to hear from a local.
@MaggiFuchs6 ай бұрын
Sounds like a nice trip! Fall is a beautiful season - but the weather could be rather unpredictable… It could be very hot, but also cold, especially at nights. If you just want to visit those cities only, then I would probably take the train (the Austria Railroad ÖBB often has excellent deals on train tickets called „Sparschiene“ to all those cities). I am not the biggest fan of cities - having seen so many, most of the European cities are more or less the same to me. There‘s always the typical tourist hotspots: the church you need to see, and the main shopping street, and the castle… 😅 Of the ones you visit, Innsbruck is my favorite (I have to say that, since I am from Tirol) 😂. The old town is nice, I like to take the gondola lift to the Hafelekar and enjoy the views of the mountains. And the Alpenzoo is a zoo with local animals. And I always enjoy the Tirol Panorama. It’s an impressive 360 degree painting that shows how the tyrolean farmers fought back Napoleon - at the exact spot where it happened. There is a tourist ticket called Innsbruck Card that includes most of the highlights and public transport. Salzburg: Everytime I go I pick up an „original handmade Mozartkugel“ from the inventor at Conditorei Fürst (Getreidegasse). I like the Stiegl-Keller restaurant - it’s a local brewery and the Biergarden has a great view over the city. Outside of Salzburg, I think the oldest salt mine in the world in Hallstadt is fun. Munich: I usually stay away from the tourist hotspots like the Hofbräuhaus, we prefer the Augustinerbräu, which is a little bit more „local“ (but not very much). I also find that the concentration camp Dachau is worth a visit, if you are interested in history. Prague: I only remember that it was waaay to crowded. But I loved the town of Pilsen on the border of Germany / Czech Republic). You can visit the Pilsen brewery (where they invented the Pilsen beer). It‘s the most impressive brewery I have visited so far. Outside of Prague, I also found the Sedlec Ossuary impressive. Berlin: I did not enjoy it very much, except visiting the „Berliner Unterwelten“ - they make tours through the underground areas. We took a tour where they showed the places where people tried to escape from East Germany to the west before the wall came down, that was super interesting to see. And my favorite thing about Austria: In every supermarket, we have those huuuuge displays of fresh hams and sausages and cheese and stuff. When you get hungry, just go there and they slice any sausage or cheese and put it in a fresh bread for you… Just say „Eine Semmel mit [point at what you want], bitte“. It‘s the best - and so cheap. McDonalds had a hard time in Austria… 😂 I hope that helps! There is so much to say… 😂 If you have more questions, let me know.

Thank you so much for such rich information. We are leaning toward not booking ahead so that we can have a bit more control of our holiday. Your suggestions for “ not tourist “ restaurants is great. We love to wonder off the tourist track once we have seen the highlights and have found some really lovely restaurants and sites that way. Thanks again, Eileen

Maggi, congratulations on reaching 10,000 subscribers while being down-to-earth and authentic in your videos! You've always given off a good energy and your presentation is just right as it is -no need for pointless cuts, angles, and overly (phony) expressiveness. 2:27 is the most heart-breaking but the same time life-affirming I've heard this year. I wish you both good health, safe, happy travels and all the best times in the new year to come.
