Maghera Beach and Caves - Donegal, Ireland

Ireland. Dublin. Cork. Donegal. Mayo. Wicklow. For two weeks, two O’Toole brothers explore the Emerald Isle and their family heritage. Cathedrals, mountains, museums, coastal cliffs, monastic cities and a lot of Guinness. The people are amazing, there's green everywhere and even the chicken wings were impressive. The Wild Atlantic Way. The ancient Wicklow Mountains. The mighty Sliabh Liag. There's no shortage of places to visit or travel to.
In this video, we visited the Maghera Strand, a stunning stretch of beach with dozens of caves to explore, located in between the villages of Glencolumbkille and Ardara, and right nearby the Assaranca Waterfall.

Isn't that amazing!! When one thinks of Ireland, beaches is not the first thing that comes to mind...but look at that, they are amazing and those caves are spectacular!!

Not that the cliffs aren't spectacular, but this just goes to show you that Ireland is beautiful everywhere

What a beautiful beach. We do have some of the most beautiful beaches in the World. And they are usually empty, except for the 4 or 5 days each year the temperature gets above 20 C.

Yeah, just stunning. It was pretty warm when we went but yes, I think part of the lack of crowds is the limited window to see things. People want warm (even hot) weather with beaches.

Ahahaha. We really love that area. Says a lot that I've visited twice I guess. One day I will visit and it will be at low tide and I will sprint to the far caves first! :)
