I love all of Magic Johnson's stories about Michael Jordan that he has told over the years. He is a shining example that you can speak on another player's greatness without it diminishing your own. Several of Jordan's opponents can't bring themselves to compliment him, but Magic is secure in his place in NBA history, and he doesn't mind acknowledging Jordan as the greatest of all time. Jordan also acknowledges Magic as the greatest point guard of all time.

What a father, what a husband, what a son, what a business man, what an employer, what a gentleman, what a citizen, what a person. From following him and the Lakers in the 1980s when I was a child in LA, to seeing him do even greater things since, wow. We could all do better and be better by learning from his examples. There has never been a more aptly nicknamed great than he: M A G I C.
