Majic also has a waterbased paint called Diamondhard. So far I am impressed with it. You thin it with water and clean your gun with soap and water when you are done. It is completely dry within an hour and is hard as a rock.

The Geo looks good! I used the magic flat black to darken the window posts on my Foxbody, its holding up well so far. For the rest of my car I used rolled on Rustoleum Topside Marine paint mixed with Penetrol in gloss battleship gray.

Two to three days after I paint I run the garden hose of cold water over all the paint to help it set up, then shammy after the cold water bath.

Try this. Reduce it with lacquer thinner and add some enamel hardener. That will do it.

The reason it takes so long for you is because of the hardener you are required to use in California. It fried faster with thinner.

I've never used the flat but the gloss paint you either paint with 30 minutes or let it dry for 24 hours, my family runs a paint shop in a small farm community and 95% of what we paint is farm equipment, it also doesn't "take forever" to dry if you put the right amount of hardner in it, People who say that just isn't mixing it right.

@@nwfishing175 its a thick paint and it takes a while for it to dry. Trust me it will work out good in the sun, thats what I did.

Came out great, paint is rock solid. Got the paint at Tractor Supply Company. Call your local store and ask them if they have it.

This stuff is old school paint and it's not a driveway painters paint and you have to use the hardener.
