I've been making to make a commander deck with the new sorin, and this is inspiring me to do so. As for the deck itself, I think you nail it at the end when you note how overly dependent you are on drawing the right cards in the right order (at least more so than other decks you've played in the past)

I remember reading a bunch of articles the last few days that were trying to convince people to run Black Burn, pointing out that "key cards" in the build were shooting up 300% in price (so like, from 50 cents to 2 bucks or whatever). I wondered if you were going to give it a spin, though it performed pretty much exactly how I thought it would.

Mono black burn is underratedly good, it’s so explosive, case in point the very nonchalant turn 3 kill during the first game, it also seems relatively consistent, unless of course the drawing algorithm wants to slap you harder than Will Smith.

You need to add a mix of lands that can do white and black, and allow yourself to look for more enchantments some how with the access to white. I feel like a few cards can be cut for this purpose and I think it’ll work way better.

Have you tried brewing around Primal Prayers? I have been a bit scared of this card there isn't cavern harpy in modern but having Alluren in modern just seemed busted to me. Especially with Flare of Cultivation and Guide of Souls. Can't wait to see what you are brewing up next.

The biggest problem with necrodominance is I do not think that it is a good fair card for a black burn deck. I have seen it used to great effect for legacy turn one glass cannon combo decks, but I think it lacks the staying power to be a good card for just refilling a black burn deck.

@@hamishfox That is true; however the point I was trying to get to is necrodominance Just might not be correct for this shell. The card can give you a second attempt; but it is a fragile card. I am not sure what the miss rate is when you play it and how many cards you need to draw to make that rate negligible.
