I love your designs using the round impressions and the straight edge impression. I didn't have as much luck, I overdid the amount of impressions I made and I think that I rolled my clay too thin because it was way too 'busy'. I'm going to give it another shot though - I used the last one for beads, they were really colorful. Thank you for the video tutorial, you make it very easy to follow.
@MagicByLeah9 жыл бұрын
Arlene Spaulding It takes a bit of practice but as you figured out with the beads, you can't really go wrong. They'll look 'different' but not 'wrong'

+MagicByLeah More Mokume Gane! How about using items commonly found around the house (the ends of paintbrushes, the metal part of tealight holders, paper clips, etc.) bc not everyone has the circle cutters. It would also be awesome if you could somehow dissect & show us the effect each type of texture marking actually has so that people can make more planned patterns...I find MG kind of confusing as to how the design forms & would love to understand it more. Regardless, this was one of the best MG vids I've seen! Thx so much!
@MagicByLeah9 жыл бұрын
+Ruby Agate interesting... I'd need to think about it. I'm new to this as well as I explain in the rainbow MG video. So while I get how to 'do it' I don't know how to predict what will happen when using other tools

love this. thankyou. wondering why you didn't imbed the pendant loops in the same manner as the earrings?
@petrescuework-difficultcas65819 жыл бұрын
Me too..
@BlackBettyES9 жыл бұрын
+Lynne Dykins I think it's because jump-ring on earrings lays flat against it, while on pendant it's turned the other way. If you did the same thing with pendant that you did with earrings, once you put chain on, it'll end up turning sideways when you wear it, and you don't want that. I hope I explained it well. English isn't my native language so sometimes I have problems explaining things.
@MagicByLeah9 жыл бұрын
+QA Purrsian I don't have big enough loops for the pendants. I also really like the look of the colored wire

Pretty. I like the squared set better. I wonder how it would turn out if you did thinner ear rings then twisted them into a loose corkscrew .(After the pattern is applied.)
@MagicByLeah9 жыл бұрын

citronelle spriz if you click the 'cc' option under the video you'll get the full typed out transcript. Not the bad ones automatically done by KZbin, but a real one that I paid someone to do :) The earring templates are about an inch. I simply cut one randomly that I liked and baked it.
