I'd also love to see more magicians on the channel in general (or more of Alex, since he was a great pick), since there's so much overlap between magic and film and 20 minutes isn't anywhere near enough time to cover things!

@@winterfeld2458 You missed the point. I am not bragging. Illusion is based on the fact that the audience does not know what is going on, and I totally understand and support that premise. It is like with every specialization, for example data analysis. If I can infer something from the raw data and you can't, it is logical that I will earn money for doing that and you will not. However, if a random dude can come in and explain all the methods, it means that it is not that "specialized" (I don't want to use the word "difficult", manually magic is very difficult, but if you know how it is done, the effect is gone). Another thing: if you do magic and you know what he is doing it is not impressive. I have never done a single trick in my life, and I know what he is doing. This is my message.

@jacekwodecki3530
@jacekwodecki3530 Жыл бұрын
@@shade0636 Ok, here we go: First trick - the force, basic mechanics in card magic, the choice was forced. He made Wren see this card. Second trick with king of clubs - also force, the same principle, the particular card was chosen on purpose. All of the people are not faking, it is not staged, the point is that he does it in a way that there is only one option, there are several ways to achieve this. Third trick with three of clubs - mechanics. He put the card in position ahead of time when he controlled the cards. Fourth trick with vanishing cards - slight of hand. There are ways to interact with people so that they don't realize. He switched the cards with the block when their hands were in contact. Apollo Robbins uses similar techniques. Next trick, Jordan + Jordan - when he gave them the card between their hands he used second deal, he picked second card from the deck and not the first, because 9 was second and J was first, simple card mechanic effect. Next trick with ace of spades - there are two ways to do it. 1: mechanical deck, presented many times on Penn and Teller show. 2: selection was forced and then deliberate deck stacking and magnets. Celebrity trick - force. I don't know exactly how magicians achieve the force in prediction tricks, it is a psychological effect, but Penn Gillette explained many times that it is a force. Another explanation: it is a random signature because no one knows the signature of Mr.Beast. Next trick: force of selection and special card manufactured ahead of time. There is a way to learn how to tear a card perfectly so it matches, it was demonstrated multiple times on Penn and Teller show.

Some examples: a flamethrower that only shoots at 90º angles, a room that flips gravity, a house with what looks like to be 4 rooms but are in fact way more or just a single one (I think it was Code Parade that made a video on this room concept, like non-euclidian space or something? I use to do magic, or sleight of hand tricks, about ten years ago. All of these tricks are very old. Kind of updated, but still fundamentally the same. I knew around 100 sleight of hand tricks that I would perform over five hours. Sometimes people would think I was possessed; especially those who were Christians. I could turn entire decks into the card you selected, and not by random, by your choice. I could do flourishes and I loved doing prop magic too, like impossible balance tricks, vanishing objects, etc. My favorites were card tricks though because it's limitless.

How do you switch the whole deck to any card you’d like? You got a bunch of decks of each card? Crazy stuff

LOL. I have never seen a single fellow Christian think any sleight of hand magician is “possessed”. LOL. Just bc Christianity has been around thousands of years doesn’t mean it’s follows are antiquated simpletons. Well......unless the magician is David Copperfield in the 90’s. LOL😊

19:53 I feel so accomplished that I think I figured this one out. He forced Matt’s selection and had that corner in the card from before. He then just had to constantly rip the corner and boom the trick.

I saw him switch the jack right before he put it in between their hands. And he did it right before he started waving the 9. He goes to the deck after proving what card he’s holding both times.

the car one was great because they sold the shot with the lighting. I definitely thought "they couldn't have gone out the back, we would see their shadows." Excellent crossover

From the side shot at 10:38, you can clearly see that the guy's shadow should be visible. The final shot is definitely altered to erase the shadows. It's not 100% in-camera.
