Knowing the rigidity of Japanese labels, probably AG contacted him first. Or more accurately whatever marketing company that AG’s label was hired did. I think at the end of the day this is more about trying to organically market to western audiences using a large creator that accomplishes something they wanted to do anyway (create MV’s) while still remaining unoffensive to the core Japanese audience.

I love that this video’s format is a “reverse debunk” where he explains the behind the scenes process of how they collaborated to create each of the music videos, then the final result is shown. Whenever I watch an explanation of how a visual effect was done, I cannot help but marvel at the hours upon days upon weeks it must have taken to storyboard, write, record, edit, and revise each explainer video scene with the screen capturing and filming of the filming process and the visual effects required to explain the visual effects!
