This act is like a tribute to card magic. So many classics, so many techniques, yet an original, fresh and smooth routine. By the way the vanish of the block at the end got me completely, this is too good.

Shin's got balls. He puts together several fairly difficult slight of hand tricks, one right after another, any one of them could go wrong and screw up his performance. But he fearlessly jumps in head first and somehow manages to pull them all off in the end. Great performer.

Love your analysis and all your insights. It’s so cool to watch your react to Shin given you know him and understand a lot of his methods and gimmicks he employs. Plus you’re a great magician yourself so seeing you appreciate the art of magic is so cool. And you put it so well, he got everyone on this act, no way to figure it out on first or even third watch. He repeatedly fooled us and he has figured out that hyper-visual and to the best of music is how to grip the audience and blow people away

The show isnt about "talent." Last year the little girl singer won even though there was a singer who lost her hearing and learned to sing from memory and listening through her feet lost. Well, magician Mat Franco did win season 9 (2014). His first trick was an excellent variation of Sam the Bellhop. His remaining illusions were bigger and his style more effusive. Shin Lim's magic style, from what I've seen, is very artistic, graceful, and quiet. He may have to step out of that box to appeal to the sort of people who watch and vote for AGT acts. I'm a little worried about the judges, too. Why he did not get a Golden Buzzer eludes me. Has there been a rule change? Had the judges all used theirs? Or are the judges just stupid or insane?
