Everyone's phones were at the right time. His was 9 minutes ahead, making everyone think that was the actual time. Then when he readjusted his clock to 9 minutes back, everyone looks at their phones and they think it's 9 minutes behind. Clever trick.

@@Jaelz he asked for a number between 3 and 10, my guess is his phone was 9 minutes ahead and he somehow adjusted the buttons on the side of the phone to decrease 1 minute every time he pressed them, so if she said 6 for example, he would just have to press it 3 times before turning on the screen, and then press again 6 times with the screen on

Apparently there is a way to change time with the volume button, so what he did was press the raise volume button 9 times before turning on his phone, then he pressed the volume down button on his phone 9 times. Nope, you just need to shift time zone of any area, a sophisticated vpn can change the timezone. This is why he asked for more than 3 but less than 10 minutes to find apt time zone easily for some co performer back stage. We just see these clips but we don't know when the last break was. So maybe the last break was 30-ish minutes ago and ppl were checking their phones and the time. I love how everyone in the comments is trying to figure out the phone thing. That was a distraction to what he was actually doing, where he flipped the deck and got his card. You can see him actually do the removal of the original deck and drop the top card down at 2:57 . by 3:06 he is holding a different deck, this one would have all of the cards facing one way and he placed that original card on top of this one, making it look like the other deck that had been mixed. While everyone was looking around trying to figure out " how he had changed time ", he already knew what the card was and has more than enough capability to hide any number of cards on him to swap in. 4:10 an 4:20 (hehe) catch him moving cards around which is interesting since he is not supposed to have any cards at that point, they are in the judges hands. The final move is to slide that 2 of diamonds anywhere he wanted into the deck handed back, which is why he would have held the deck in the way that he did so you could not see his thumb just slip it in from the back.

There is no final “slide in” move, would have been too risky to do something like that , he would have a very high chance of flashing the move, although it is very logical to think that, but you are wrong in that assumption. It is for a very different reason he held the deck like that in the end.

17:37 was the actual time. All he needed to do is to have an app on his phone that would add X minutes to the current time (where X was in this case 9 requested by Amanda). While picking his phone from the desk he pressed something on the screen (it is clearly visible), must have been starting the app. That made the 9 to be added to the actual time on his phone and then the app counted it down to 17:37, which was the actual time. So no surprise everyone's phones were showing actual time :) All he needed to do to make it believable was to add a lot of talking, making it fuzzy with cards, which he did brilliant :) So the trick was not about cards, cards only were a camouflage, a distraction.

@@hardikgoyal7185 I don't know how he reversed the two as he didn't seen to ruffle through the cards and his hands seem to be visible the whole time (I suspect the time thing could've been a distraction) but if you look at 3:32 it's clearly a 5 of hearts, but by 5:06 it's a 5 of diamonds (It couldn't be hearts upside down, because cards are made to be symmetrical, with the exception of the middle shape if odd), probably because it looks similar so it wouldn't be noticed as much, or pure coincidence. But this leads me to believe he performed a well-hidden swap of decks.
