In her hometown, they eat all kinds of noodles and bread everyday. It used to be all handmade and home made. I lived in the same area 30 years ago. Although my parents are from the south, I learned some of the skills from my neighbors.

Thank you 小高姐!I had a dear friend in 北京 who used to take me to a restaurant to eat these. She died a few years ago of cancer. I miss her. I will make them and eat them, thinking of her.

Oh, this looked so delicious, I had to try it immediately. All the flatbreads came stuck in twos, though, and I am not sure what went wrong (I just double fried them in the end and they were nice, but a bit on the crispy side). Should I have put A LOT of flour over each leaf instead of just dipping them in the flour bowl? or is the type of oil important? I used olive oil because that's the only oil I have in the house right now. if anyone can help, I would be grateful! Thank you!

i dont think you should put a bunch of flour to separate those Flatbread but just a thin layer instead. Otherwise the oil you brush will be watsed.

@@mahel2002 no no please no XDD, just reduce the amout of the flour and be gentle when you dip the flour. keep the oil side a bit wet like this( kzbin.info/www/bejne/j4end5WNh8Sba6M ) Make sure both of the oil and the flour is not too much (if oil too much the oil flour mixture will come put) (if flour too much the bread will stuck together)

I use it as a wrap for fry chicken prawns or beef with vegetables. Can add seaweeds too.
