Hopefully helpful extra information: 1. Creating routines is relatively easy with insturctions in app. Community has developed way to create forces and other clever things using same inputs as peek/reveal. 2. You can export/import routines with images so you can download routines made by other people and they are ready to perform without modification. 3. Sharing routines in app might be coming at some point so you don't have to use the Facebook group. 4. Same activated account works on both Android and iOS at same time. 5. If you activate account after registering and logging into app the activations status seem to not be updated. Logging out and back in fixed this for me. Beware: logging out clears all custom routines. Use export feature and backup the files somewhere. Import back after login.

Hi David, i really don't like apps BUT for whatever reason I got this the day it came out. I struggled a tiny bit with initial setup but I don't do 'tech' . But after that was accomplished ... Wow! It is sooo good. I prefer the card peek to the reveal. The reveal screams gimmick. The peek is so subtle. The proximity input is brilliant. I guess you can tell I like it!

I bought this already, so a few comments. First, the price is going up to $40 on November 16 when a new major feature is being added to the built-ins. See Lloyd Barnes' recent video with an uncut performance for more on this. It's available for $30 until then, but isn't staying at that price point for much longer. That said... I agree on the iOS / Android thing -- it's great that they made the app for both platforms, but they seem to have used iOS as the basis of the video instructions and such, which isn't the best for Android users, which as you noted, is the larger market. As for the initial set up, I think there are two parts, one of which seems more necessary than the other, and I'll leave it at that to remain vague. The Facebook group with user-made routines is probably one of the best things about this, since you can get all sorts of stuff there.

@@magicorthodoxy it's a learning curve for me just like it was for you. I bought it tonight. I will use it along with a couple other apps for integration. Maxim and MailFx. I'm gonna have FUNNNNN with this once I understand it. I do understand how the card revelation works, as I've been working on my own app. Cognito definitely a great adaptation of a classic way to get the thought of card, etc. Using pictures was genius.

Good review... Maybe I'm just an old geezer but I just can't get into app tricks...to me it just seems extra unimpressive...it's literally a supercomputer so duh you can make it do whatever you want...the thing can feel you, hear you talk etc...one of the things I love about sleight of hand is that it's one of the last things out there that don't depend on this kind of tech like everything else in our lives today...

Totally agree. I even feel the same about the Infinity Watch and similar products. If a friend randomly showed me their analog watch that synched with their phone or remote I wouldn't be all that surprised or impressed and it certainly wouldn't seem like magic. Like with phone tricks it doesn't seem like much of a leap to see a watch prediction trick and then guess that it's done with tech. Maybe because it's a watch? I dunno. Using tech for dice predictions doesn't seem as bad.

Not to be pedantic, but slightly more people actually use iOS than android. I know that apple is a minority in the desktop/laptop market, but they actually have a big chunk of the mobile market.
@magicorthodoxy2 жыл бұрын
In June 2021, Android accounted for about 46 percent of the mobile OS market, and iOS accounted for 53.66 percent of the market. So it's basically half and half

Just a helpful tip: "Scrolling" is vertical. Scrolling sideways left to right is "Swiping".
@magicorthodoxy2 жыл бұрын
Ok, thanks
@jefftravilla2 жыл бұрын
This isn’t quite accurate. A swipe can cause scrolling and other actions regardless of direction. A swipe is a swift, directional press of the screen. “Scrolling” is user experience lingo that came from mouse input days and refers to accessing content that is off screen using a scroll bar. Scrolling is distinct from other interactions with off screen content (like carousels) because it deals with content that truly overflows the screen. Carousels also overflow the screen, but their overflow is hidden to prevent the scrollbar, and instead gesture inputs cycle the content into view. “Swiping” is often used to describe carousel views on a phone because that’s the main touch gesture control, and the action of the content nicely matches the action of the gesture. But when you’re scrolling, you’re still generally using swipe gesture. And there are definitely instances where apps and website scroll from left to right.

OK so after paying around with it, I got it to work for others now to see and they actually think it's a very cool trick ( Chaos trick ). I love love love magic but I just love easy amazing magic haha. It took a bit to get it running but I will say it's worth the money after trying it out because spectators seem to be caught off guard if that makes any since. I've got some responses like it blow their mind. I will say it's worth the money if you like phone tricks. I'm not a phone trick person just yet but i got the chaos trick down so, I'm sure I'll use it down the road . Also I love the clearly of your videos and how you explain things, you are to be commended sir!!!!!! Thanks!

@@magicorthodoxy Anytime I try and work on something new I immediately ask for feedback and comments on the my performance and the trick itself, usually with family and close friends/fellow magicians. If anything seems off, suspect, unimpressive, gimmicky, etc. on more than a handful of occasions from ppl - it’s a no from me. I don’t try to convince or rationalize myself it’s good or okay just because I spent money on it already.
