Hi Nikki, Leigh, Remon & Wim..... It was well worth going to the scrap metal dealers for all that hard work. I am amazed at the strength of those magnets, especially the steel work stuck a few feet in the mud. The museum looks like a great visit, and very fitting that an old ship yard tool was the first find. A well-deserved meal with great friends.....nothing could be better to round off the day, after another great adventure. No magnets were lost or harmed in the making of this video......but an old crusty one was saved. Stay Safe and always laughing guys 🎉 🧡🕊☮️✨️

Well, that was quite the feat, good thing you had spectators ready to jump in and lend a hand to you wouldn't be having all-you-can-eat sushi tonight !!! Maybe MacDonalds but not sushi !!! Here in the US, all the magnet fishers take their hauls to the scrap yard to make extra cash money. Some film the load being dropped off so we can all see what the total was. Ideally, you need a large pontoon boat that is open in the middle, with two cranes. One with an electromagnet and the other with a grappling hooks. That way if you found something that the electromagnet can not lift up you could run the grappling hook(s) down along the line and get a mechanical connection that could lift the object up.

that part of the harbor has been examined, dredged and expanded numerous times since WW2, any big artifacts from that period have been found already. (You still could find them further from the river bank )
