Marine Insurance - It can be defined whenever we purchase some good and it will be transported through waterway then it would be required to insure with the insurance to cover the loss of any uncertainty. Proximate causes include the followings 1. Collision of ship 2. Ship attacked by enemies 3. Pirates Attack 4. Disappearance of ship 5. Damage to ship, freight Principle of Insurance are - 1. Contract of Indemnity 2. Utmost good Faith 3. Insurable Interest 4. Proximate cause 5. Valid Contract Subject Matter of Marine Insurance 1. Hull/ Ship or Vessel - Indemnity the loss caused to Ship 2. Cargo Insurance - All the risks associated with the cargo 3. Freight Insurance - Damaged goods when transported do not get freight charges. 4. Liability Insurance- It’s is one in which the insurer undertakes the indemnity against the loss which the insured may suffer on the account of liability to a third party caused by the collision of the ship and other similar hazards.

Mam if our ship sinks and due to this some of our goods get sunk .then will we given compensation for cargo insurance (if we have insurance only for cargo and not ship or hull insurance)...... please answer mam
