Magneti Marelli Harley Fuel Problems Part 1-1/2

Hey Jason can I ask you a question....Problem: 2002 Road King Fuel Injection, quick disconnect was bad tried to fix it had to remove it and replace it, during that process I must have hit the intake screen of the fuel pump which broke it into little pieces. Went for a test drive got one mile and bike died. Brought it back to house and felt that the fuel pump went bad. Spark plugs had fire. Replaced fuel pump and fuel filter and all both lines inside tank. Engine would not start. Sprayed starting fluid in air filter, engine runs with starting fluid only. My thoughts are that the pieces that broke from the fuel sock got into pump and froze it. Could smaller pieces got through and clogged lines? Checked fuel lines by removing the line at the fuel injection. Gas flows freely, turn on engine and gas flows much faster. Which means to me that fuel pump and fuel line is clear. My thoughts are that the fuel injectors are clogged. Replace or clean them? Looks like abut a 4 hour job from what I saw. Your thoughts?

@@garagebuilttv Yes, new pump, I also detached the line from the injectors and gas came out by gravity and when I turned ignition on the flow became harder. I'm going to replace injectors next.

I can’t fight video what did you do about the blistering inside the tank I have the same 2001 road king . My shit looks worse I never did a coating of the tank. I can’t find if you made any more videos on this.

Toss this boat anchor off and replace it with a CV40. Your bike will run better and you'll get 55 mpg!

Do you have to change out the ignition to do so? Something I've been considering on mine.

@@chrisd350 yes, it will need everything from a carbureted bike
