i LOVE the sped up version of Dancing in your eyes. It feels like you are running hand in hand with your love rather than walking briskly. And that cello in that number. Chefs kiss.Wayward bus is my favorite album of all time. People here applauding knew they were witnessing magic. Hurry up time; I need to see them in Chicago in April 24' already xD

This makes me HOMESICK x zillions... I would have been there.. were not because I was not allowed to go back to College that Summer and the Navy got me a surprise before the Semester started, and sent me straight to the Middle East to join the Expeditionary international force to liberate Kuwait, since a few days after their nation was invaded. I was in Europe visiting family, and missed international events as wrapped up I was with family and flights and goodbye parties invitations. I got my orders to report awaiting in the Mail box, just arriving off the airport. I missed so much in those months between 2 years of bridge between 80-90's. And these guys were still small but to me were sweet and wishing them bigger, thankfully it happened for them some time after and you could get their new CD's. All the songs are a piece of heart, so caringly crafted but 'Lovers from the Moon' still touches me as I went through a breakup before being sent to War. I'd heard before 'the Saddest story ever' and now it moves me much better on hearing them perform it in this early form. Sam Davol impressed me then, how he seamlessly added those notes and Classic flavors into the modern music concepts, just like the pioneers of the 70's did _so rich, and enriching those in their Audiences. Could never imagine The MF's without his strokes. I love Claudia's drums way improved there too, as her voice into as good as Merritt's at the time. He's the brains, she's the heart, and viceversa too in their association projects' outfits. I'd discovered too that 'Dancing in your eyes' it has become more appreciated in me nowadays, perhaps because 30+ years after, its lyrics fit smoother in my life now in the Autumn of it. Visionary songwriting from S.M. way ahead of his age at the time, he so could be without knowing it.

what was it with filming their legs, they were not even doing guitar steps like The Shadows or Todd Rundgren, or was it checking Merrit's monkstraps? I used to do that, but only if under the stage at Blondie's or at Stereolab's gigs, checking out Debbie's or Mary Hansen's sharp biker legs (Gosh I miss those days shenanigans that made Mary giggle when she noticed, and she was still alive)

You would have noticed the voice before seeing her. At first I didn't pay much attention, as the camera left her mostly off the picture. I thought she was cute, but then I noticed she looked like my own sister -it freaks me out! My sis is also a musician, did 9 years of classic piano and had the fingers and all to become a greater concert virtuoso.... But then, our aunt who was herself a gifted pianist and tutor to very few, died and my sister quitted playing piano. She doesn't play anymore nor would touch one with one finger, even if she sees one open in front of her!! So many hundreds of difficult but wonderful pieces up in her brain, at the tip of her fingers... and she was good, but _not. Like if she did it only for our aunt, who wanted her to follow her and be even better. Learnt all but not to love it for herself. I hope this girl enjoyed a more rewarding musical experience in her Life, and not resemble mine more than just looks. Playing with these dudes ensemble is a good experience in any musician's life, they had always asked more of themselves giving back to Music
