While I do love Hurrem a lot, here are a few things I noticed when rewatching this various times: the war with Ibrahim was started by her due to her jealousy, it s not like he could have refused the Sultan with their work. Nonetheless, he died due to his arrogance and that he started to act like the sultan. If you think about it, Hurrem never managed to have him killed, but his speech with taming the lion was the last straw Suleyman could take. Third, hurrem was kind of evil from the beginning. He treated Maria poorly even though she did nothing but support her and Valide was against her due to her claiming things like owning the palace and everyone will bow down to her. If she played at little like mahidevran around valide, she wouldn t have had that hard of a life in the palace. If I were the Valide, of course I would try to destroy a concubine who did not know her place

I just love Halits acting. He does it with his eyes. He looks really livid with Mahi and Valide. She is lucky. It would have been really tragic for her.

I feel so bad because she favored mahi in every incidents, her actions of smoothing benefits mahi the most, protects her from accountability and allowed her to behave ruthlessly many times thinking valide has her back.

So, while the idea that the beating actually occurred is commonly disbelieved, what the show has play out here is pretty close to what's actually in Bernardo Navagero's report. I can post it if asked (holding off because it's _long_ ) but, basically, Hürrem did, in fact, tell Suleiman that she couldn't offend him by coming before him in such a state and Suleiman, after seeing what had been done to her and hearing who was responsible, turned from Mahidevran entirely after confronting her.

its well documented in historical books and archive records that mahi did in fact beat her and called her Russian meat valide sultan had to be the go bt them and was fair and just but Suleman did stop all relations w mahi after she hurt Hurrem in truth, he loved Hurrem more than anything on earth. you are wrong and if you need receipts i can provide

she is characterized as haseki in the series however she never was, that title was created for hurrem. but the character seems to have belief that she is "queen" and that makes her different from other concubines that is why she believes she entitles more than others in terms of her existence in sultan's heart. again it is just the series.

The Ottomans don't really have a concept for "queen consort" but Hürrem's literally considered to be the closest thing to an "empress" the Ottomans ever had. In the show, Mahidevran gets saved more due to the intervention of the Valide Sultan (and a lot of double standards at work but...).
