I agree, though I haven't watched future episodes, so I can't judge Ibrahim harshly at this point. This episode, brilliantly acted by his actor, really gives him a lot of character depth beyond pining for Hatice. I can agree that this murder investigation is paper thin on evidence and the process they take is quite illogical. Instead of establishing alibis, motives, time and place, access to the floor, they go straight to accusing Hurrem. Where is the forensic detective???😂😂

I mean. Think about it. If it weren’t for actors who speak Ottoman Turkish, there wouldn’t be the feeling of accuracy. The world is full of people who believe there should be people of a certain culture who should be the ones who tell the stories of people in history. I think this brings more accuracy to the show in language. The story may be changed a little, but the language is more accurate.

Suleyman was everything but. They call him a great ruler just because he expanded the Ottoman Empire territory. That's all. But as a man, son, husband, and father, he was a low-life scumbag. He was not only cruel to Mahidevran, Valide Sultana, and so on, but especially to his people. He ruled by terrorising and put fear on to his people. The fact he killed two of his sons and the third one died of a broken heart over Mustafa's death it shows what kind of man he really was

Hurrem is a fierce and dynamic character. Realistically, as an outsider you had to be like her to survive. Those times were brutal for women. They had to be cunning, ambitious and self-centered to stand out in the harem and to be in Sultan's good graces. Otherwise those Sultans had no shortage of younger and gorgeous girls joining harem time to time. Any nice or selfless woman would have been used a few times like tissue and discarded for a new lively one.
