Hurrem has a huge influence over Suleiman, she never wanted Mehmet to leave to another province. Hurrem tried to kill Mustafa numerous times, she even sent a spy over to manisa to kill Mustafa, what do you expect? him to bend over backwards with excitement and kiss Hurrem's hands? The fact that he's still so nice to Hurrem's kids is simply amazing, others would've cut ties and be suspicious of them too. The fact that he never tried to hurt Hurrem after falling victim to her evil plots is commendable.

The one thing I don't like is hurrem and mihrima bowing down to these sisters of Suleiman. I think they both are in upper position than these sisters. Hurrem is a free woman and wife of king, shes queen , she should have power as much as king do. And mihrima is king's daughter, she's present princess, everyone should bow down to her. This bowing down has become clumsy and messy. Also the dressing sense of everyone has changed, earlier episodes all women used to wear dresses showing cleavage later they wore hijab over dress. Now its fully modest.

She rarely use and headpiece and sometimes her neckline is just bare while Mahidevran was already glamorous! This is the third time I watched this series and I always thought that Mahidevran was the first queen (like the late Valide sultan) when actually she is just started as a concubine same as Hurrem

Quick history, did you know after selim became sultan he ruled for 8 years and actually died from a freak accident. He slipped on marble floor and hit his head. After he passed nurbanu put him in a box full of ice to preserve his body until his son murad lll came from manisa to Istanbul. Nurbanu didn't tell anyone besides the grand vizir that the sultan had died it was 12 days late when murad arrived to Istanbul that every one learned about the death of the sultan selim lll.

Suleiman wasn't murdered, he was still alive, just that he was never that interested in Hurrem. She always got rid of all the concubines Suleiman took a liking to. She forgets that she herself was a concubine that stole Suleiman from Mahidevran. Hatice didn't try to commit suicide when she discovered Ibrahim's affair with Nigar, unlike Hurrem threatened Suleiman that her death body will leave the Palace if the two concubines that were a gift to Suleiman weren't sent away. She doesn't seem to think about her children when she sees Suleiman loses interest in her.

She was always the "fragile" one.....and she snapped. They say love is blind...but Hatice knew a lot of things Ibriham was doing was getting Sueliman upset and angry. If Sueliman would have just showed her the accounts of the meeting with the envoys...read what all Ibriham had said about how he ruled the sultan and told him what to do...and how it was he who ruled, made decessions etc. she might have understood better. But he didn't. Ibriham's death was of his own making through power and greed...believing himself above the law, any law including Suelimans.
