Just started watching this series, and I honestly don't understand Mahidevran's logic. She'd rather share Suleiman with ten random concubines than with Hürrem, all because she's angry at having to share Suleiman with Hürrem. Also, any one of those concubines could have become his favorite and pushed both her and Hürrem further down the pecking order, basically making her a monster of Mahidevran's making. If she had just accepted Hürrem or even been kind to her, she might have kept Suleiman's favor.

You should watch this understanding that a lot of artistic license was taken by the writers. There isn't a ton of evidence that Mahidevran and Hurrem interacted with each other all that much. The drama/bitterness between them, to say nothing of between Hurrem and Suleiman's mother and sisters, was invented for the series.
