The young Suleiman received news of his succession to the throne during a hunting party in 1520. Unaware that he would be ruling a reign beyond his dreams, he left behind his wife son and took to the road with his close friend and companion Pargali Ibrahim to reach the Topkapi Palace in Istanbul. As they started their journey overland, an Ottoman ship set sail from Crimea in the Black Sea, bringing female slaves as gifts for the Ottoman palace… On this ship was Alexandra La Rossa, the daughter of a Ukrainian Orthodox minister, taken away from her family and sold to the Crimean palace. She had no idea that she would become Hurrem, wife of Sultan Suleiman and mother of princes, ruling the empire with him through bloodshed and intrigue.
As Sultan Suleiman conquered the world, his great passion for Hurrem would clash with his love for and trust in his closest friend and advisor, Grand Vizier Pargali Ibrahim, all set against the backdrop of the tension between Christian Europe and the Ottoman Empire in the 16th century.

I know it’s ficción but I Hate Hurrem here, she is the biggest hypocrite promising her daughter she can’t marry who she loved but then making the choice for her liked her knowing she would do it out of loyalty for her. I guess to experience the right of an great love story with the love of her life, the sultan for Hurrem, was an exclusive right for her only.

Sad to say but Hurrem was only evil. She might have lived in luxury, but she always had fear, worry, strife and sadness in some way.. what a sad life she lived.. always being scared every day.. even killed to have her own way. Its a pity, she couldn't keep her promise. She married the Sultan because she was in love with him but she let her daughter marry a man she didn't love. She even sacrificed her own daughter's happiness to secure her sons future. She even lied to her by telling her she only wanted happiness for her but its a lie because she well knew that Mihrihmah doesnt love Rustem.

Hurrem is just GORGEOUS in this episode as she returns 💚💚💚💚. No matter what others say, she is the very best! Please remember that during this period, sultanas spouses were chosen by his majesty. They were usually married off to Vizers of the Ottoman Empire. The dynasty was more important than their feelings of love. In real life Mihrimah loved her husband Rustem Pasha.
