It's disturbing how they romanticize oppression... This is messed up. He keeps her captive, then makes her feel guilty for trying to go home. He talks like she's the one who "abandons" him when all she wants is her *freedom*. And that's supposed to be *love*??! It's upsetting in this day and age, to portray this as a romance in the media... Think of all the young girls watching and believing this is how love feels. *smh*
@anweshadas55253 жыл бұрын
It is because from which side you are watching the story. We have to keep in mind who wrote history, the ones who wrote are from the king's side, they can't show their king evil. I don't know well about turkish history but my whole country is growing up believing shahjahan loved mumtaz, because we are reading only how he built taj mahal upon her grave, not how he married her by force or married her sister after the day she died, i don't understand where love is in the equation.

Disliking women was common at that time. Especially in islam countries, were people abused islam by being extreme, corrupt and disliking women. Men were better blah blah blah.... Fortunately, Im glad it doesnt happen anymore because we (women) know our worth. We are not objects but people with feelings and pride

Also it's not the makers of this series who are romanticizing. It's the actual sultans and princes who romanticized back then

Oh, God, he is pissed! Really, he is pissed! Like, he didn't expect her to hate him and his empire, i mean, why would she, he just kidnapped her and destroyed her parent's life, i mean she wouldn't actually miss her country and them, i mean, she wouldn't, wouldn't she?!😅 Man. You destroyed her life, and you didn't expect her to try to change that... Nahhh... That's not possible...

Thats how it was unfortunately. But don't act like other countries showed respect to women. Harem is s a stupid system indeed. This is something men were proud of but actually have to be ashamed of

I may be turkish and a muslim but if I lived at that time and I had another race or religion, I wouldnt like it as well because I am a girl with feelings and pride... and a little arrogance 😅 it was also common in islam to have more than one woman. But it's not recommended because you can't love them equally. Thats impossible and unfair. So in conclusion, islamic empires abused islam. They were corrupt, extreme and disrespectful to women. They still are tho. But harem is not here anymore. The ottoman family is still alive and marries other royal families instead

They changed the actress because in real life when Anastasia grows up her hair becomes darker so maybe the director wanted this series to look like real life. So, he changed the actress to a black haired girl and later she was named Kosem. Hence, Kosem is Anastasia
