Magnum XL-200 was literally the first coaster I ever rode. It was my senior trip and I was so tired of never taking risks, so I just got on the biggest coaster in the world (at the time) to conquer my fears because I was so terrified of them. Of course I couldn’t get enough after that and it was senior trip day at the park so they had the whole thing shut down to the public. I got right back on it and must’ve rode Raptor at least three times. Incredible experience, and I’ve been an enthusiast since. Anyway, love your dedication to it here, with some added bonuses.

A lot of this footage seems like it was sped up. The build is impressive, but I do get the feeling that he might have had to push it along parts of the track at times and that it wouldn't actually finish this circuit without his help. No knock on him, the laws of friction really don't favor light objects, but yeah, I'm pretty sure he was guiding it by hand for parts of this, there's no way this amount of distance is possible.

No, not really, there are a hell of a lot of constants involved, and the equations aren't all linear, you can't just increase the mass of an object proportional to the scale of what you're trying to model and expect the behavior to be the same, especially not if you start needing to take friction into account.

@@Xtrovid The course was slowed down but the chain lift was sped up, and the trains are massive and weigh 4-5 pounds. Combine that with custom 3d printed cars with custom-made ball bearings and a sturdy support structure that has rods in the ground, and you hold a ton of your speed.
