The concept of using spreadsheets has always seemed incredibly time-consuming, stressful, and of no relevance to me. My investing accounts mirrors that of Kevin Mikan, and I prefer it, because it's very transparent, and automated I don't have to be active during every trading-session... You can give it a try... There are comissions though.

I have started a small business and employed 43 people (most of them black), I did this for over 20 years. I have closed down 2 business in the past 3 years, the ANC policies and high cost of doing business, makes it imposable to do business in SA What have you done with your BEE privilege for the past 30 years?

CORRECTION: Who ran Steinhoff? Who manipulates phone data prices? Who runs SA.s economy? Who is responsible for manipulating the rand for 6 years between 2007 and 2013? Whilst I do admire Mr Heystek views on financial pragmatism we shouldn’t value these things over fundamental Human Rights. The court filing against Israel at ICJ is the only right thing the ANC has done and I despise the ireversible damage they have caused to our beautiful country and should continue to criticise them rightly so. But the value of human life supersedes profits and financial gains in every scenario.

People underestimate what being part of the bad guys of the world means. After seeing a mom and a toddler being killed by a Russian sniper and knowing that through my tax I support that I decided to leave. Only stayed a year longer because my company can't find a replacement and the branch might close, also gave me time to dispose of some assets and get affairs in order. What about the bad guys in Israel killing women and children. I am living in the UK for 22 years, guess what , there is no place like home. Also SA does not feature as you would think on the world stage, even after ICJ issue.. Businesses and investors don't really care about political issues and which country you side with or not, its all about where they can make money. SA is not a good place to invest because of electricity, water and transport and crime issues. We should be focussing on that and not what USA or UK government think about us. UK and a lot of European countries economies are in a mess too and investors in these countries are looking to invest elsewhere, its not just South Africans who do not want to invest in their own countries.

I wonder if Magnus can help. We are a company trying to bring in large investments into south’s Africa. Getting the money in the country is near impossible. Previous funds being “stuck” at the reserve bank for over 3 years. It seems the money is lost. Having another investor wanted to bring in money but afraid we don’t receive our funds again. Is crypto the way to go?

Just putting your money in a UK bank account and not earning interest your money would have grown (relative to the Rand) by 30% in the last 5 years! Think it’s called hedging, and I’m hedging it’s going to continue that way for another 5 years at least.

No thanks we are not going to be led by semi-literate white matric boy like Steenhuisen and Winde. Most South African's are not interested in the DA, a political party that is not interested in land reform when they know black people who are 80% of the population were not allowed to own land in SA prior 1994. The DA protects white privileges, advocates for animal rights while not caring at all if services are delivered to township, rural arears and informal settlements. Go to Langa, Mitchels Plain, Gugs etc you will think there is no Cape Town Municipality when you live in these places, these communities have been neglected for years by the DA.
