Because white plays PxR, and if black plays BxB, white wins back the bishop with Qf6, forking black's rook and bishop. Either way, black loses a rook for a "horse".

In the PTV, Bxg5 forces Bxg5 and you win the rook after Rh1+ Kg2 R8h2+ Kf3 Rxf1. Not flashy but winning? Unless there's a defence I didn't see.
