Really cool to see the founder of a brand that I wear so much (ronning) talking about all this and tapping into finance aspect of starting a brand. Can’t believe that I’d just found your youtube channel just last week even though I’ve been wearing your stuff for over a year! Also, making videos on your new beanie really does lots for advertising. Already copped one in the forest green colour-way today! (and also copped the buckle shoe from ronning as well help i have a problem)

Thank you so much James! I love that you found Ronning not through me, that weirdly means a lot to me - and thank you so much for the support! Hope you like your new shoes and beanie

Wow I knew that a brand wouldn’t be cheap but this was much more than I thought. Really eye opening and amazing that you’ve been so open about it
@MagnusRonning12 жыл бұрын
Brands can be started cheaper, it is cheaper starting clothing brands on blanks etc, but working with a factory is often more expensive, because they have higher minimum orders :)

Honestly, you were the first guy that got me into personal style and introduced me to so many different aesthetics a few years ago. I wish I saw this vid a few months ago when I began my own project, as I resonate with all these figures / steps. Keep it up, never stop creating Magnus!

Glad to see you back posting, love the transparent content! My brand is called Episodes Project, started a year ago, we bridge the gap between art and fashion so for each collection we collab with a new talented designer from all over the world to create a new 'Episode'. Would love to have your honest opinion on the concept, the brand, the products and the website! Keep posting man!

Thought about starting my own clothing company with friends 6/7 years ago called "Du Quartier" - but creative differences made it difficult. Also, the finances were tough. All of us were studying and kind of scared to invest too much in it.

magnus is there a reason why you started another brand for the beanies instead of releasing them as a running product? just curious if benefits from having a recognisable brand (the whole Sundays thing) outweighs the costs associated with building a whole new brand when you already have one
@MagnusRonning12 жыл бұрын
good question! the main reason for starting a new brand, and not doing it under Ronning, is to give me some more creative freedom - and also trying to push 2 very different aesthetics would risk diluting both brands. The beanies could have given more attention or publicity to Ronning, however it could also run the risk of falling flat within a larger brand or collection Lastly, the future products I have in mind for Sundays would not suit the Ronning aesthetic, so it made more sense to create a separate entity, even if it means a bit more work and $$$ in terms of building the new brand
