Note to new gun owners: A good weapon mounted light on your rifle is a MUST. Most violent encounters happen in low light, and you need to positively identify what you're shooting at (and not shoot your teenage daughter sneaking back in from being out late). I would even prioritize this over an optic. Many will suggest getting a light with as much lumens/candela as possible. Hope that helps.

Limit lumen to 200 t0 300 lumen and color rendering index to around 2700k, too high lumen and there's a chance reflected light will bounce off surfaces and blind you, too high color rendering index colors become harder to distinguish under low light such as blue green and brown. In addition higher powered lights increases bulk and shorter run times that may run low on you at the worst possible time.

The 2nd will have nothing to do with it! Most anyone else who feels a need to address our current situation with a firearm should probably be thrown in jail. Owning a firearm does not give you the right to try to intimidate your fellow law-abiding citizens! As decribed in our Declaration of Independence, our inalienable rights are LIFE, liberty and the pursuit of happiness. Notice life is first, and our President is doing a very poor job in that regard. Everthing else in the Constitution is just an agreement among ourselves on how we choose to govern ourselves . . . and that can and does change. (If you diagree with that statement, try telling your wife that, like when the Constitution was passed, she can no longer vote. Please post her response to KZbin when you do. ;-)
