Eric Burdon was great and if you can see him in concert, he still is. In the last 5 or 6 years my wife and I attended two of his concerts and he still has people rocking in the aisles! His voice is still unbelievable!

Somehow (I don't know how or why), Burdon often goes unmentioned when it is time to list the greatest vocalists from the Age of Rock. I used to warm up my voice and get into ''the space'' for gigs with Vol. 2 of their ''greatest hits'' (the acid era- it began with When I was Young and went into Girl named Sandoz, if memory serves). Of course, no matter how I tried I couldn't touch him when he started hollering on Inside Looking Out- one of the greatest bass lines I have ever heard. Seriously, any young folks out there who haven't heard it- check it out (and don't get distracted by the Grand Funk version!)

I love him with all my heart, Sam cooke will be my first but Eric I melt with him too, as Eric said he heard the tunes coming in to the Newcastle docks, thank god he did, otherwise we wudnt have heard his amazing voice, and yes I 46 yrs old now haha but I heard him wen I was way young, would love to meet him ...think I'd faint haha ❤❤❤

I've loved this great song since teen years in the 70s. My favorite version is the old one by Rod Stewart & Steampacket. Never heard this one! Clicked immediately. Eric Burdon & The Animals are some of the greatest ever. And Sammy Davis Jr too! Lol him jumping into the frame at the end 😁👍👏
