Why was a movie based on Muslim community issues of exploitation (during current times) - "Hum do hamare barah" banned? Why doesnt Amir Khan's son work in movies addressing Muslim issues? Ever wondered why Bollywood only believes in portraying issues of other communities but never Muslim community?? This movie - Maharaj, which depicts an issue which existed in 1862 (more than 161 year ago) is used to make Sanatan Dharam look bad! Only reforms happen in Sanatan Dharam because we have the audacity to look at our ugly sides, but does Muslims and Christians have this bravery and honesty?

Answering your questions, there is certainly a difference between a fictitious story and a story based on real incident, why the movie you mentioned was banned? Well. even Maharaj was banned first, it was only after the court reviewed the movie and found that the movie is not attacking anyone or anything in particular but only trying to tell a real story of a reformer, they decided to remove the ban. The movie you mentioned firstly on the other hand, only the courts can tell as everything is upto their decision only, they certainly must have felt that the movie has its faults and if released, will hurt sentiments of people, you and I are no judge of it especially when there is a competent authority to take the decision.Secondly idk if you know this or not, but one can tell the intent of a filmmaker very easily, like are they interested to tell a story? or the movie is made solely for the purpose of attacking a whole community or section of a society, which is a very cheap attempt btw. I have seen people attacking Aamir for this movie even though he has no relation whats-so-ever except having his son starred in this movie, he also got attacked when satyamev jayate's clips surfaced online (brilliant show btw, a must watch) but people really are forgetting that he produced 'Secret Superstars' and during 'Sarfarosh' times, he gave an interview talking about some muslims who have their loyalty towards pakistan. So idk who you are calling biased when probably you are the biased one who failed to do their research and only like to look at those aspects which are convenient for you to talk and make an irrelevant issue out of it.
