Another way to put it is... " lost the tactical battle, won (prolonged) the strategic war". USA & allies fought from 1960-75 in Vietnam, almost never lost a battle, but in the end, lost the war, primarily due to attrition to Guerilla warfare. Probably that was the strategy of Maharana Pratap & it was a good one against a larger more formidable force.

In 1582 first battle of dewair Maharana and amarsingh lead Mewad army and fought against mughals in which Akbar's army was heavily defeated. While in 2nd battle of dewair 1606 amarsingh defeated jahangirs army and mughals were defeated and mughal generals like parvez Khan and muhabbat Khan were killed.

Sir, this is also true about the Third Battle of Panipat between Afghans and Marathas. The single battle or skirmish was lost by a narrow margin but the Marathas continued to expand into Northwest India for several decades after that. No matter whether Maha Rana Pratap lost/ won the battle of Haldighati, it doesn't make any difference. Akbar never had the guts to face Maha Rana 1. Mewar was a strategically important for Akbar. Trade with the Middle East meant conquering every kingdom on the path to Gujarat Coast. 2. In the Middle of such a large empire, a small Kingdom of Mewar must be a shame to him 3. Akbar came all the way to south to occupy Deccan Region . But he never dare to fight with Maha Rana. 4. Only when Maha Rana died, the Mewar campaigns where launched again. 5. Akbar must be really afraid of Maha Rana because of the way he spit Bahlol Khan into 2 pieces and Almost killed Maan Singh.

Even today we are living in a world which is European centric, who conquered the world by Adharma. If the only objective is winning in Global politics, does Dharma really stands a chance against Adharma. We cannot win with principles, morality, rules, ethics etc with Adharma which has no rules. Rajputs always fought each other. Even their ancestors Gujrata-Pratiharas also fought each other. Their relationship fracture was the reason for Turkic rulers to capture Northern India and later expand southwards. Battle of Haldighati was Amer (Man Singh) supported by Mughals vs. Mewar (Maharana Pratap). Akbar wanted his Bro-in-law Navratna (Man Singh I) to rule over all of Rajputana to control the trade and Mewar stood in his way to expansion into Gujarat and its coast. After Haldighati, Man Singh I conquered Gogunda, Udaipur and Kumbhalgarh (Almost all of Mewar state). But, Maharana Pratap took back everything 6 years later in Battle of Dewair with leadership of his commander Bhamashah. Maharana Pratap lost Haldighati, but won back his kingdom later

It's not that binary Kings at that time need to save their people from direct invasion ( which would have eventually turned entire country into islamic nation) they kept culture, tradition and religion alive despite being under islamic dominance You have to read what happens when state looses a war special against islamic Invaders it's not always about throne They were aware about the fact that invader never conducts the ethical war code. No king wants to accept the dominance of other But if they loose the price would be too much to paid by his entire kingdom Read what happened when marathas lost in battle of panipat the amount of atrocities conducted by Invaders on people where too much

Read history, rajputs fighted the most against invaders 1. glori was resisted by rajputs ( prithviraj chauhan) 1st invasion . . . To . 2. Babur was resisted by rajputs ( Rana sanga ) Last Islamic invasion And even chatrapati shivaji Maharaja was a sisodiya rajput who led the foundation of Maratha empire. And for those who established political relations with mughals they were forced to do so ....... but still that was sad.

You said in your comments rajputs did it to avoid hardship.... that was not the case, after the battle of Khanwa between rajputs and babar. Firstly They became weak and read about the seize of chittor by akbar in which after war he killed 30,000 civilians. These are the some reasons why some of them accepted mughal supremecy and we no where celebrate them. Not all can have courage like maharana and shivaji maharaja ..

The standard text says Satyug is 1.8M yrs, Treta is 1.2M yrs, Dwapar is 800K and Kal Yug is 400K. Currently we are in Kalyug year 7K as Krishna went to hevenly abode around 5500BC. But it would be good to get some info about the historical evidence of this.

Bhagwadgeeta, Mahabharat and ramayana were all written in Sanskrit. But later Mahabharata and ramayana were published in Hindi language ( disciple of Sanskrit) so that hindus who speaks hindi more affectively than sanskrit can understand in a better and easy manner. But our holy book Bhagwat Gita is published only in Sanskrit language and it contains thousands of sanskrit shlokas and their explanation was in Hindi language in order to understand the holy book of Sanatan Dharma 🕉️🕉️.
