I was travelling by train around 20 years plus back, a book stall vendor stopped in front of my bogie, and there was this book, 'Autobiography of a Yogi',..... I never get down at any railway station during a journey, I didn't know who Yogananda was, but his piercing eyes made me get down and buy this book and it has been my favourite spiritual read ever since..... the funny part was that there were so many interesting books but I just decided to buy this one and I didn't have much faith in gurus either,... later on I have always wondered if Swami Yogananda made me buy this book and give me the gift of all that wonderful knowledge. I wish everyone in the world could read this book.

A man who resembled Sri Yuktwesar came to me in my vivid dream in an Ashram in 1991. I discovered the location and my guru, 2 years later near my home in NY state. He showed me 2 paper bags as he stood behind a TV set. He had a grey beard & mustache, tall and thin like Sri Yuktwesar. He said to me, “Which one do you want”?!!! I replied “ I don’t want anything “. To which he said “Good, because everything is an Illusion”. And the dream ended. I had a series of dreams with guru like people from India, and I had zero knowledge of the Occident. I searched high and low, and I found the Ashram in my dream, located not 10 minutes from my home there. I met the Guru in the very same room of my dream, and he passed some amazing energy into me just like I received at a much greater intensity in the dream, and knew it was the same energy. I have only seen Babaji once in a vision when I asked Yogananda what happened when he died. He showed me this. Yes, he is reachable. I was in a white featureless room full of white mist. I was just an observer. To my left I saw Yogananda walking out of the mist dressed in his robes. To the right there were 3 figures that came out of the mist. One of them was Babaji, the others Lahiri Mahasaya and Sri Yukteswar. They were all silent and once they reached Yogananda, bowed in greeting. Then they turned around and he followed them back into the mist without saying a word where they came from.

After Babaji goes to Srilanka with the small group of ascetics...he meets his guru Bhogar....When Bhogar saw Babaji performing different austerities with complete interest he gets impressed and tells him to go back to India to meet Bhogar’s guru Agasthya sage...Babaji performs difficult austerities and praying that he could meet the great Agasthya sage....when sage Agasthya saw Babaji’s dedication he initiated him into Kriya yoga and told him to travel to Badrinath and perform his austerities there to attain enlightenment...so Babaji leaves to Badrinath and performs Kriya yoga for long duration and attains Enlightenment....🙏🏻

A small handful of these people have been interviewed so it’s definitely not a conspiracy theory. As I said... it’s a fact. They’re not spying on us for personal info unless that personal info can be connected to a item or brand where money can be made, but it’s still a violation of privacy. Look it up if you are interested. Search “ Alexa “ and everything I just mentioned. Of course I simplified everything. You’ll find a lot more information through research. Hi, I am a 50 year devotee of Parmahansa Yogananda. I really enjoyed this video and thought it is mostly accurate. The mispronunciation of Sri Yukteswar’s name was disconcerting to me (Yook-tes-war is how Yogananda pronounced it). There are many recordings of Yogananda praying and saying the name of each guru in the SRF line. Just thought you would like to know for future videos. May Babaji guide your steps and vision to more videos of these great masters.

babaji was born in tamil Nadu the village called parangi pettai near pondychery. His master was bogar sidhdhar (yogi)who worshipped the lord muruga. Babaji was asked to meet Agathiyar siddhar (the great yogi of all) to get blessings from him

I used to go to the Halloween shows the Self-Realization fellowship would put on for the community in Mt. Washington, CA back in the 80s & 90s, which were some of the best times of my life. Only later would I go on to learn the fascinating history of Yogananda, the founder, after checking out the Palisades location, but only recently became aware of Babaji. I totally understand all of this ,l was 19 years ago initiated into the 4 kriya yoga also known as RAJ VIDYA OR ATMA GUYAN,which is referred to as THE GREAT SECRET KNOWLEDGE OF MEDITATION ( called Raj ghuyam as spoken by Lord Krishna. People don't realize Buddhism is just a branch of Hindusim. Buddha himself a Hindu. He only disagreed with a few principles and never sought out to start a new religion.

Thank you for this video. There are differing versions and their accompanying controversies. But it's always nice to read about Babaji or watch videos. The latest biography of Babaji is Conversations with Mahavatar Babaji by Master Pallavi. If Babaji was born in 203 A.D. then Jesus wouldn't have been his disciple. There is some consistency to stories of Krishna being the spiritual guide of Jesus (see books by Joshua David Stone). Krishna reincarnating as Babaji (as reported by Yogananda's disciple) adds to the controversy but there is more consistency in stories of the link between Babaji and Shiva rather than Babaji and Krishna. Anyway, controversies are just a distraction! Let us commune with the Master and with other devotees in good fellowship! Jai Babaji!

According to the video Babaji was born in 203 B.C., not A.D. It is not stated totally crystal-clear, but in no way do I hear "A.D." out of it. It definitely sounds like "B.C." - stated just after 2 minutes into the video, at about 2.04 or 2.05.

In that the birth date of Babaji is given as November 30, 203 A. D. Pyramid Master Pallavi who channelled Babaji's biography recently also mentions the same year but a different month - March 24th, 203 A. D.

@@bhaveshtewari3061 that is what Yogananda mission to the West was all about teaching of kriya and teaching the underlying unity of Hinduism and Christianity. But all the theories and beliefs and hearsay mean absolutely nothing unless you do the kriya and form a friendship with God. Friendship with God is more important than relationship cause friendship is closer and more tolerant. Relationship could be anything. That's what I said and I'm sticking with it.

Great Video, finally a decent documentary. Many modern spiritual masters of modern times claim to have met Babaji and have their version of Babaji's history. The problem with mysticism is that you can pretty much claim anything because it is so difficult to prove its validity.

Very enlightening video about Mahaavatar Bababji, I enjoyed the narration and images. My guru, the Supreme Master Ching Hai (Master from the Himalayas) has a video out where she talks about meeting Bababji, I believe around 2000, she said he appeared at the door of her residence as a chubby German man and she invited him in and they had tea. She told him to continue on his mission with his disciples and keep doing what he was doing. You can find videos where she mentions Babbaji and the kriya yogis on youtube! I would love to see a video on Haidakan Baba, that would be great, you should work on one!!
