Jon is probably the most generous world class guitarist that I've come across. I've never met him, but the interviews and sharing that I've seen put him in a class on his own. The comment from Mr. Spagnoli should be ignored. Different artists interpret material, they don't just ape the originator.

This solo from Jon is one of the BEST I heard from him, the curve of expression is plenty of "momentos", wise notes choice, licks, jazzy background in Jon don't steal sense to blues rock spirit in neither time. In my position as a musician, I try to avoid comparisons, when a band plays a theme as emblematic as this made famous by Jeff Beck, one of my heroes, the idea is providing their own and personal taste instead of simply imitate or "do justice" Obviously Jeff's greatness is unique, but each guitarist is personal and untransferable. Matter of taste, I admit, but please do not compare nor forget the differences making every artist a messenger in its own right .

Interesting version. JH is a master, no doubt. Hard to play this tune like Beck on an SG without a whammy. This was obviously not rehearsed to perfection. I like the keyboard player but the bass and drums seem all over the place to my taste. Always good to hear Jon play. Great guy!

Each musiscian, if he has a personality, will play his interpretation of a song without trying to copy another musician. Jeff Beck is a guitar genius, without any doubt and he is unreachable in his way. But this is Jon Herington, interpreting a song in his own special way, so why all these silly comparisons?
