Respectfully, I would respond to Bill’s thoughts on what Republicans (or rather, conservatives) like and don’t like about America like this: We DO love the military, but we don’t like the infiltration of woke ideology. We DO support law enforcement, but we hate corruption, and the FBI seems to be ripe with it. Also we generally don’t support large FEDERAL government, but rather local and state government. And yes we DO love democracy, and believe our elections should be secure and that the rights of every legal citizen is heard and not diminished. Also, we believe laws that dictate the legality of things like abortion, drug use, etc. should be left to the states and their respective residents so as to truly reflect the desire and will of the people of those states, and not enforced by blanket federal rulings like Roe v. Wade, which was federal overreach. The list goes on. Above all, we love the constitution and what it stands for. That’s what we love about America.

I am glad he’s back! I’ve never actually watched his cnn show, but I’ve been listening to his radio show every single day for years now and it was VERY different from his tv show (from the few clips I’ve seen) He argued and criticized every side of issue, spoke with conservatives and liberals daily and with respect…it was a really well balanced, great show that made you think.

Room for improvement on both sides for sure. Polarization is a real concern with the political climate right now in this country. If both sides go to the extreme left and/or right respectively, guess what? Nothing, or very little ever gets done. No middle ground. No compromise is possible. I love Bill Maher because sometimes he makes sense and sometimes he has good ideas. Not this time. In this exchange he really fumbles and this shows how unsettled he is on his ideology. He's so worried about Trump he can't see straight. He is so worried about democracy and can't even spit out what that means.
